Great local game shop in Tempe! This was my first time playing the One Piece TCG, and the staff were incredibly helpful. When I called ahead to ask about signing up and how the event worked, they patiently walked me through the format and answered all my questions. During the event, everything was well-organized, and I really appreciated their support. I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re interested in trading card games. Show less

Terrible experience here, I applied for Gundam starter deck event through the Bandai app on 09/23/2025. My application was accepted and successful. So I drove an hour to Athoria on 09/26/2025 for the event with my entry fee. Only to be told that they filled all those spots that morning and that I ha... Read more

Terrible experience here, I applied for Gundam starter deck event through the Bandai app on 09/23/2025. My application was accepted and successful. So I drove an hour to Athoria on 09/26/2025 for the event with my entry fee. Only to be told that they filled all those spots that morning and that I had to pay in advance the day before the event? Even though non of this information was written any where on the Bandai app on Athoria Games event post. Also, the lady was very rude and made it seem like I did something wrong, when in reality they were wrong for not making it clear and concise on the Bandai app that entry fees must be paid prior to the event. Waste of my time. Show less

Been coming to Athoria the last couple of months to play Kill Team, and even competed in my first tournament for it! When I first moved to Phoenix I struggled to get back into my tabletop hobbies like MTG and 40k, when I came to Athoria I found a comfortable, clean and welcoming environment with an amazing community of gamers and staff. I've made more than a few friends here and have spent many evenings playing commander or chatting about miniature painting with the Warhammer & Frostgrave crowd. Been coming to Athoria the last couple of months to play Kill Team, and even competed in my first tournament for it! So, after coming here for a few months I wanted to give a very in-depth review of this location. This place is awesome. They carry all sorts of games, tons of gaming supplies, paints, characters, dice, cards, Pokémon, and magic. They have plenty of other card games, unfortunately, cards are not my scene. What has kept me coming to this place (besides them having and or getting what I need) is the staff. The manager and the counter staff are amazing. I have learned so much from the vast knowledge that they contain. I value their opinions and recommendations. I feel extremely comfortable saying that they have my best interests in mind and are not just chasing my money. When I need to get away from real life I come to the shop and play a game using their amazing tables and terrain set ups. Sometimes I go just to have some knowledgeable and nice people to talk to. If you havnt visited do so. You will recieve some of the finest customer service around. Show less
