6 years agoStaff was very friendly and helpful. They added time to my account after some issues with game updates. Environment was very clean and well put together, and the girl at the food counter was cool. Overall this place is pretty poggers.

4 years agoCrazy place for gamers! Very professional setup and ambience for all types of gamers. Loved it. It's more than an hour commute for me till this place, but totally worth it! Doing it every weekend now :P 3 hours at this place go like 3 minutes I swear

It's so hard to do LAN parties now a days, Balance Patch gives you that option in a great location at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the Cafe is surprisingly top notch! On tap cold brew? Count me in! The console game selection is a bit lacking, but is regularly updated. The PC selection is fantastic, and you have the option of using the store account or even your own with minimal effort! I do think there should be some sort of reimbursement when the games need to be updated, but the internet speed is fast enough that it generally causes minimal issue. I play these games at home all the time, but the change of scenery and the opportunity to make new friends is welcome. The tournaments can get a little too rowdy, though. I hope they can keep this momentum and become a staple of the Boston experience. Show less

It's so hard to do LAN parties now a days, Balance Patch gives you that option in a great location at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the Cafe is surprisingly top notch! On tap cold brew? Count me in! The console game selection is a bit lacking, but is regularly updated. 3 years agoGreat location. Rented out a booth for my CS:GO team so we could all play LAN together. The staff was very friendly, the equipment was great, and was overall affordable. The atmosphere in the main area was great. Place was packed and it appeared a fighting game tournament was going on.

1 year agoGreat place to hang out with friends, solo, or even on a date. The computers are great and well maintained, and the console sections are very comfortable! Also special shout out to Balance Patch for their tasty menu (milk shake + Gobblin Gannon!) Lastly, the staff here are so kind and generous.

I came out of retirement while having two weeks off from other hobbies to game here despite having a setup at home. The space has a super vibe and the staff are very good about using sani-wipes on every setup after each use. Lots of the staff are really great and there's one guy, with a few arm tattoos I think, that especially has the best friendly vibes. Alienware PCs and they have two different mice: Glorious Model Os, which are lighter, or the Logitech G203s (I think). There's events Tuesday/Thursday/Friday for the fighting game communities (melee, ultimate, and fight stick games) and the space becomes bustling and especially lively on Fridays (though I really don't know how people play ranked valo or cs2 during this). Usually lots of groups chilling on ARAMs or QP also. They have a cafe with sandwiches, tenders, ramen, fries, shakes, and soju for those who want to get a little loose. I write this wistfully as I slink back into retirement and desperately fight the urge to come back for the unlimited day pass on Mondays; I'll miss the horrid shouts that Balance Patch is closing in 30 minutes. Thanks guys! Show less

The space has a super vibe and the staff are very good about using sani-wipes on every setup after each use. Lots of the staff are really great and there's one guy, with a few arm tattoos I think, that especially has the best friendly vibes. 1 year agoToo fun, I have a pc at home and these stand up to it pretty well! Had a great time buffalo chicken wrap was good, felt like I was at home. I had one issue with the headphones being very sensitive but didn’t ruin my fun.

Balance Patch is an amazing gaming cafe for anybody and everybody. The staff is incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful, the facilities and machines are wonderfully clean and modern, there is a nice cafe with lots of food and drink options, and the vibe and energy of the place is awesome. Fighting Game Friday was so entertaining and I enjoyed being here! The milkshakes, canned Bobas, and sandwiches were very good. I definitely recommend stopping by and grabbing a bite from the Hot Fix Café! If you’re an avid video game lover from out of town, out of state, or from Boston, MA and surrounding areas, I definitely recommend going here. It’s a good spot for college students or for anyone ages 18 to 35. Unfortunately there is nothing like this in Mississippi unless it is hosted by a esports club at the Mississippi college or university campuses. Next time I am in Boston I’ll be sure to come back to Balance Patch! Show less

7 years agoGreat little spot off the Green Line with nearby parking and an awesome gaming atmosphere. PC and Console competitive play with organized play on weekends and more. In addition they have a great food selection with various sandwiches and paninis along with many popular drink brands

1 year agoAbsolutely fantastic venue for FGC nights, everything was about as proper as you'd want it. That being said, this review is more about the food. The buffalo chicken wrap was spot on, and the pricing was very affordable, especially for the general Boston area, I'd drop in just to get lunch here.

2 months agoGood place to play. Service nice and responsive.Food and drink is good.Minus only in headphones, they were worn out . Cables that you don’t get when you move the screen. And a little remark, the heat from the processor is very strong. It’s a great place and I love it.
