A large group of us went to Beyond the Board to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had a wide range of ages (2-60) and everyone enjoyed their time! There was a huge selection of games—some familiar, but a ton that we had never heard of. The employees were very helpful and knowledgeable—making game recommendations and explaining the rules. We also ordered a lot of food—everything was delicious and was prepared in a timely manner, especially considering the size of our group. The only thing I would change is maybe taking out a couple tables to replace with a couch or cozier seating. We will be going back some time for sure! Show less

A large group of us went to Beyond the Board to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had a wide range of ages (2-60) and everyone enjoyed their time! There was a huge selection of games—some familiar, but a ton that we had never heard of. The employees were very helpful and knowledgeable—making game recommendations and explaining the rules. If you're looking for a place to have fun, meet new people, and enjoy great food, Beyond the Board is the perfect spot! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with rows upon rows of board games to choose from. Justin and Alex are super friendly and can treat a ton games. Wednesday nights are open board game night so you can feel comfortable coming in alone and finding new people to play with. Most people on Wednesday come around 5pm. Show less

If you're looking for a place to have fun, meet new people, and enjoy great food, Beyond the Board is the perfect spot! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with rows upon rows of board games to choose from. Justin and Alex are super friendly and can treat a ton games. This is an awesome place, for just casual game nights with friends and partners or we even held my 13 yr old birthday here as well. The staff is amazing and very helpful with reccomendations and board game instruction. I highly recommend stopping by and trying a new game!

Our whole group loved our visit to Beyond the Board! Such a fun spot. We loved browsing the huge collection of games and playing a few different games we had been wanting to try out. The atmosphere is awesome, friendly, and family appropriate. I went with a bunch of friends for a full day and played many games. They have a great crokinole board and the employee there taught us how to play. They are knowledgeable and will help if they know the game! I highly recommend this place!

The game selection is awesome, the staff are super friendly & helpful, and the food is great too! Their gluten free pizza is very good. They have their collection list available on their website, which is great for planning which games we’d like to play before we get there. Very excited about their recent expansion, as they’ll be able to host even more people! We have come to the open game nights on Wednesdays a couple times and always had a good time. The game selection is awesome, the staff are super friendly & helpful, and the food is great too! Their gluten free pizza is very good. They have their collection list available on their website, which is great for planning which games we’d like to play before we get there. My wife and I have been wanting to check this place out for a few months (we’re huge board game enthusiasts) and finally got to in early May (on our anniversary, no less!). This place did not disappoint! We had so much fun learning THREE new games and playing one we already knew, while eating some good food! Justin is a great teacher, and very patient. They have a LOT of great games, including the hot releases, the classics/gateway games, and even party games. They also have many drink and food options, all of which were great (we had pizza and mozzarella sticks). Can’t say enough great things about this place, and about Justin! Thank you for being warm, inviting, and patient! I only gave you 5 stars, but I owe you 5 more! Amazing place! Show less

This place did not disappoint! We had so much fun learning THREE new games and playing one we already knew, while eating some good food! Justin is a great teacher, and very patient. They have a LOT of great games, including the hot releases, the classics/gateway games, and even party games. If you don’t have a huge library, they have one with hundreds of unique options! Spacious tables for any game, comfortable seats, and simple atmosphere make for an easy-going night of gaming. It’s often busy so making a reservation is a wise move. Friends have said the food is good too! No outside food or beverage is permitted, so prepare. Amazing! We first came here when visiting 2 years ago, and I’m so happy to come back whenever I’m back in Wisconsin. It’s cool to see the new expansion next door with the storefront. They were very friendly and guided us through a few games. Playing games at home is fun and perhaps more ‘cost effective’ but it’s so great to come to a place with awesome selection and wholesome people. Compared to a trip to the movies, this is much more engaging and creates memories to last. I will return when I’m back in the area! Show less

Amazing! We first came here when visiting 2 years ago, and I’m so happy to come back whenever I’m back in Wisconsin. It’s cool to see the new expansion next door with the storefront. They were very friendly and guided us through a few games. Playing games at home is fun and perhaps more ‘cost effective’ but it’s so great to come to a place with awesome selection and wholesome people.
