2 years agoThere’s grand stretch in the evening and there’s nothing better than a drink in a beautiful beer garden especially when you’re recovering from an underwhelming film. We were offered free tayto crisps by an extremely nice waitress and enjoyed our time here.

7 months agoThat was a fun experience. Food (pizza) ordered from a pizzeria across the road and delivered to the table at the bar. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a nice "buzz" in the place. This was my first time here - would go again.

We stopped by one of the famous pubs in Ireland, but unfortunately they did not take any credit cards so we came here and glad we did! Not many pubs can be called romantic - but this one definitely is. It is very dark ( mostly light comes from candles ), music is very loud and the crowd looked young. There is a possibility to get a pizza from the place nearby. The selection of drinks is great : beers,wines etc.

Stopped by here randomly on the way back to the place we were staying while in Ireland. Still to this day, years later, I think about this place and the vibe. Wish I could go here everyday but unfortunately I don’t live anywhere near here.

I ordered a blackcurrant with water from the bar and the bartender told me I could not have that and that I could only have blackcurrant with a spirit. I was here today, 26/09/25, with 2 friends of mine. I ordered a blackcurrant with water from the bar and the bartender told me I could not have that and that I could only have blackcurrant with a spirit. I have been coming here for years and have never been refused a blackcurrant before, in fact I got one just last week. I cannot drink alcohol or caffeine so I don’t have many options when I go out so I was really uncomfortable and had to just get a water. Then she proceeds to ID me and my friend and when my friend showed her her ID, she said she didn’t believe her and asked her to take out her phone and open her settings to prove it was her… At this point we decided to leave because the blonde woman behind the bar was so rude and made us feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome. I have never been treated like that before. We are both well over age. I am 23 Show less

2 years agoI luv this pub. The vibe is the most relaxed pub ever. Non judgmental and all welcoming. Not sure this what owners set out to achieve but the staff have pulled it off. Guinness good. Hard to put in words for a 50yr old who's been drinking all over Dublin for years. Loved it

11 months agoIt was my first time at Blackbird and it’s got a great atmosphere with great service. The sun was shining, people were seated outside and in the beer garden, music playing. Definitely worth it.

4 months agoIf you would like to get a table here is better to reserve in advance. For a Saturday was impossible to get something for 3 people. Is a bit loud if you would like to chat. Otherwise the atmosphere is nice.

6 months agoLovely place. A lot of young folks, some funny board games and great selection of drinks. Loved the vibe only down side the room was quite big and it was really hard to understand each other because of the noise (which is quite unfortunate for playing board games) but would recommend!

5 months agoCozy atmosphere, beer that hits the spot, and pizza that somehow tastes better than my cooking, and that’s saying something. Honestly, I came for the beer, stayed for the pizza, and considered never leaving. What more could you ask for?

I’ve been a loyal customer of this pub for the last four years and have always loved the atmosphere and the memories I’ve made here. It really pains me to leave a one-star review, but my recent experience with the new security staff has left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. When leaving the pub with my friends, we paused briefly at the entrance to say goodbye. The security guard asked us to move, saying we were blocking the entrance, and we complied. However, as I turned to say a quick goodbye to my friends, the security guard mocked and mimicked me, which felt incredibly unprofessional. When I addressed his behavior and said it was rude, he replied, “Well, I warned you twice.” I believe a security guard’s role is to ensure the safety and comfort of all patrons, not to antagonize or mock regular customers who pose no threat to the business or other customers. I’ve never had issues at this pub before, and I hope the management will address this matter. If I see improvements in how customers are treated, I’ll be more than happy to update my review to reflect the pub I’ve come to love. Show less

I’ve been a loyal customer of this pub for the last four years and have always loved the atmosphere and the memories I’ve made here. It really pains me to leave a one-star review, but my recent experience with the new security staff has left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. The pub gets really busy in the evenings especially on weekends, however this place serves a very happening and cosy vibe. Their staff is very friendly and quick to serve. They serve Pizzas, however they’re brought from the next door Neapolitan pizza shop - UNO Pizzas and they are super to taste. We ordered the margarita and hot honey pizza. Both the pizzas were yumm, however the hot honey was a super sweet pizza. One of my “MUST VISIT PUB”recommendations. Show less

3 months agoLovely pub with a very vibrant vibe. Music was great. You can surely visit if you want to have a pint and chill with your friends. We could see chess on a few tables although we didn't play. Smoking zone is very nice too! The red lights really add well to the whole atmosphere!!
