I love the location and the vibe but most of all it’s super dog friendly which is the reason I always choose this one over all the rest!

3 years agoIt is a big board game store, in my opinion, the biggest one in Seattle. Here you will find a great variety of games with different ranges of prices. You can buy, try or rent your next board game here. Also, they have events during the week that you should participate in!

Could not recommend more! They're super helpful and have a great selection. You can also play board games with no cover charge and bring in outside food.

Prices for TCG cards are horrible, $240 for a Charizard UPC, when they sell it for $120-130 retail everywhere else, yet somehow they're blaming tariffs, when everyone else isn't marking the price up so drastically. Friendly staff, but horrible management I guess

10 months agoStaff is friendly, but owner has chose to sell TCG drops at market price. Preordered a couple items and was told that it’s market price when I went to pick up ($270 for Prismatic SPC) Please do not support this behavior in local card shops.

8 months agoAmazing staff; incredible selection of games, puzzles, and gaming accessories; great ambience; constant events. An irreplaceable community hub in a lovely walkable (and parkable) area. I cannot think of a better Friendly Local Game Store. Blue Highway is the best!

Everything a board game store should be. Fantastic selection of board games and puzzles. They also sell puzzle books, kites, brain teasers, and Magic cards. Staff is helpful but not pushy.

We have visited Blue Highway for years and it is consistently my favorite "third place" in Seattle as they maintain an extremely friendly and welcoming environment that you are able to access for free 90% of the time and the other 10% of the time for an extremely reasonable price. Prices for snacks and drinks are more than reasonable and beat any other spot. The games, yes, occasionally are more expensive than Amazon but it's 2025, you know that Amazon's whole thing is undercutting small businesses to the point they can't compete. Amazon doesn't host tons of weekly board game events, Amazon doesn't let you borrow games and play in their cozy store for free, if someone says Amazon is a better deal than Blue Highway, they haven't experienced even a percent of what Blue Highway offers. Go visit, go to an event, go try out new games, go support them because Seattle desperately needs to keep places like this. Show less

I didn’t feel judged for not being super knowledgable about board games which I feel like can happen at other board game places. There is quite a bit of seating though the tables are close together. There are used board games for cheaper than the new ones and they are quite a good deal. Overall I liked this place a lot and I prefer it to other board game places in the area. Show less

Fantastic assortment of boardgames both to try or buy, new or used. Friendly staff sells cold drinks, too, and helps with game selection. I will remember this spot on Queen Anne for casual gaming meet ups.

This is the ideal board game store. All the employees are incredibly helpful and welcoming, the store carries a wide variety of games for all ages and interest, and they even have a play area and expansive game library. My board game hobby wouldn't be as enjoyable without this store

7 months agoLovely pitstop for a weary pirate or a weekly crew. Lovely and knowledge employees. I'd park the ship here forever if it wouldn't be rude. Quieter part of the city on a Sunday. Gender neutral bathroom. Alcohol and good games and no pressure. Nice real wood, roomy tables. Yarr, put out a tip jar!

You can play games from their demo library (which has a ton of great options) or you can bring your own games. The store itself is very well organized and stocked with a whole selection of discounted second hand board games upstairs. I will definitely be going back, I highly recommend you check out their website for other fun events that they host! Show less
