Save your time and don’t sell to him. The guy spent nearly 10 minutes to find the worst price for the video game I had and offered the half of the amount, even CEX is better.

9 years agoIt has a very "Black Books" feel with a much kinder owner. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Good source of older (e.g. N64, Dreamcast, Playstation and newer) games.

6 years agoThis store is truly a find called them earlier as I was heading into town looking some some classic game boy games for a gift . The man held them for me . Decently priced . Will be back thanks again.

6 years agoSeems like a store which has existed for several years in the same spot. The owner is an old man who's still running the store. It has a great combination of old games and books. Would recommend a visit, it'll be like a trip down the memory lane.

5 years agoThe owner is really helpful and kind. The shop seems old, but that look is authentic to it. Didn't find what I was looking for, but I played a game of Mario Kart with the owner and it was like he wasn't a stranger to me. Just a nice vibe and got a friendly game out of it too 😋

3 years agoGreat experience finding this store today. I’d been looking for some DS games for quite some time now, and finally was able to purchase a few games. The shop owner was kind, and well informed; the shop had a good selection and reasonable prices for its products. Definitely worth the trip in.

I'd never met him before but he's well known to all the students for his books and his great encyclopedic mind. Wonderful man. Just to browse with ... Read more

We stayed to listen to the program and have a chat. People he knew as students now bring him DVDs,books,x boxes etc and mostly they don't want paying. He is a kind man. Some university books cost a hundred or more. Some items are still priced in Punts. Show less

Most games were also beat up and dirty, there was not a single PS1 or Dreamcast game with a decent looking box, which is a shame. I like playing old video games so I stopped in, but I found very little interesting stock. Most games were also beat up and dirty, there was not a single PS1 or Dreamcast game with a decent looking box, which is a shame. Prices were also generally too high, some games and consoles were 50%-100% more expensive than going prices on eBay, which is usually a last resort when looking for an old game. Owner was a bit rude too, and seemed to be entirely a businessman who wants your money and not at all a retro games enthusiast. Seemed like a nice store, but I wouldn't bother coming in again. Maybe the books are ok, but I suggest you buy old games elsewhere. Show less

Most games were also beat up and dirty, there was not a single PS1 or Dreamcast game with a decent looking box, which is a shame. 1 year agoHidden Gem, guy is kind. So this shop is a Kind Irish Gem. Never judge a book by his cover. Take your time to browse books ( and the games )on the shelves, or if you are in a hurry, He will assist you. God bless you.

2 months agoshop around this store is a rip off seen a game that costs €8 in cex up the road compared to €24 here, all the games are expensive and very overpriced, shop around eBay etc much cheaper than here.

Delighted to see this store still going. It's a rarity. I'd encourage gamers and film heads to support it. Gentleman was friendly, engaged in a bit of chat. They stock great films and used games. Definitely will head back. Bought Taxi Driver dvd. I found the prices very competitive.
