Great selection of games. Is it one of the best board game cafes when it comes to quality and quantity of games The staff are so welcoming and genuinely lovely. The only downside is that they offer snacks and not necessarily meals, so definitely turn up with a full belly. There is no baby change, ... Read more

Great selection of games. Is it one of the best board game cafes when it comes to quality and quantity of games The staff are so welcoming and genuinely lovely. The only downside is that they offer snacks and not necessarily meals, so definitely turn up with a full belly. There is no baby change, and the place is relatively small, so keep in mind if potentially bringing a pram. But there is a big selection of games for children from as little at 2 years old so definitely a good visit for families. We (2 people) were there for just over 3 hours and spent 25 quid - so definitely a good do Show less

Great selection of games. Is it one of the best board game cafes when it comes to quality and quantity of games The staff are so welcoming and genuinely lovely. The only downside is that they offer snacks and not necessarily meals, so definitely turn up with a full belly. There is no baby change, and the place is relatively small, so keep in mind if potentially bringing a pram. This is a great little shop with an excellent selection of games to play in house. Alan was super helpful and came over and helped teach my son how to play a new game. Brilliant addition to Prestwich, they have a massive and varied games library. Alan kindly showed me around and gave me an in depth run through of what they have to offer. They have a good number of different sized tables and a private room/dungeon for larger groups. It's in a great location, easy... Read more

Brilliant addition to Prestwich, they have a massive and varied games library. Alan kindly showed me around and gave me an in depth run through of what they have to offer. They have a good number of different sized tables and a private room/dungeon for larger groups. It's in a great location, easy to access from the Bury metro line and opposite the Heaton Park tram stop. I can't wait to return. Edit: Still absolutely brilliant six months on, in addition to the sheer variety of games available, Alan runs different games and "Learn and Play" events each week, and there's a forum where people can arrange to meet up for sessions. Buzzin' Meeples is going from strength to strength. Edit: Almost a year and a half later, Buzzin' Meeples just keeps getting better, there's a membership scheme with dedicated game groups, events and deals. There are boardgame leagues and party events. Long live Buzzin' Meeples. Show less

My partner and I had a wonderful time at Buzzin' Meeples. We'd booked a table for four hours and in that time managed to play three different games. The venue was clean and clearly well cared for. It was cozy but by no means claustrophobic. Alan provided both incredible service and a wealth of information on the boardgames and was always happy to explain the rules or offer insight into the games. The prices were astoundingly good too and I came away feeling like I had been vastly undercharged for both the drinks and the time slot. I would recommend this place to anyone as a fun day out, but for those who particularly enjoy boardgames I'd say it's a must go! Show less

Wow, this store is unreal! Not sure what we were going to expect when we came here but we were blown away. Cozy and intimate setting crafted for playing blockbuster style boardgames. Tables have neoprene mats and cupholder attached to table. Owner is a very nice person who takes the time to learn games and teach the more complex ones in an easy way. A bit north of Manchester city center and located right next to the metro link. Free parking nearby on the streets. Tea, coffee, and soft drinks available with crisps and candy for purchase. Burger joint right next store if you want to take a break and fuel up. 6 tables available (3 on ground floor and 3 in basement). 1 toilet available. You can tell the owner is passionate about boardgames with the collection that has been curated. This is one of the greatest places to come and play the newest and hottest games! Show less
