Great board game cafe. So many games to choose from. Some of them were quite worn or instructions were missing, but we just chose another. The cocktails were amazing (we had the pawnstar martini and banana bread ones) and better than ones we'd had the night before at an actual cocktail bar! We didn't have food, so can't comment on that. Staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back when in Bristol again. Show less

Great board game cafe. So many games to choose from. Some of them were quite worn or instructions were missing, but we just chose another. However I got my mates in, we carried on drinking and it was an amazing time. I have already listen to the podcast and have been a Yogscast fan since 2011 so it was great to be in here. Lovely staff. Great selection of games. Many recognisable and many I've not seen before. A couple I'll be adding to my own collection now. It's such a shame there isn't one in Blackpool! If I am ever near another location I will be straight in! £2 per person per hour is such a good price! Show less

I was on my first trip to Bristol and me and my friends randomly stumbled upon it. We had no real intentions of coming here in our original plan. However I got my mates in, we carried on drinking and it was an amazing time. I have already listen to the podcast and have been a Yogscast fan since 2011 so it was great to be in here. Lovely staff. Great selection of games. Many recognisable and many I've not seen before. A couple I'll be adding to my own collection now. It's such a shame there isn't one in Blackpool! There was a mis communication over pizzas ordered but the team were happy to rectify the issue straight away. There are so many games to pick from and it's all organised superbly. We were a party of 6 and the Mikey was a star even gave us some perfect suggestions of games to play. If we didn't have another booking we happily would have stayed. I will be back again soon! There was a mis communication over pizzas ordered but the team were happy to rectify the issue straight away. There are so many games to pick from and it's all organised superbly. We were a party of 6 and the Mikey was a star even gave us some perfect suggestions of games to play. If we didn't have another booking we happily would have stayed. I will be back again soon! Staff was very accommodating and we were there between 5/6pm on a Friday which is a busy night for them but they squeezed us in and even waived the gratuity fee as we left a few mins before our hour was up (new customers waiting). Very kind of them. Great tea selection and cookie sandwich was delicious. Clean, tidy, good atmosphere and excellent selection of board games. Would defo go back if I'm in Bristol again. Show less

We booked a 2-hour slot at this board game cafe and were initially really impressed with their game selection and the setup. However, about an hour into our booking, we were told that they had double-booked our table and we’d have to leave immediately. What made it worse was that they admitted they already knew about the double booking but hadn’t informed us until then. We had spent a good amount of time up and learning a more complex game, only for it to be cut short and completely wasted. Despite the mix-up being entirely on their end, we were still required to pay for the hour we were there. A gesture of goodwill — like waiving the charge — would have gone a long way to make up for the inconvenience, especially since it was just the two of us and not a big cost to them. There was also a very loud, disruptive group seated next to us, which did take away from the overall atmosphere. I assume this isn’t typical of the usual service, but it did make the experience less enjoyable. Overall, a disappointing visit — the café itself has a lot of potential, but the way this situation was handled really let it down. Show less

We booked a 2-hour slot at this board game cafe and were initially really impressed with their game selection and the setup. However, about an hour into our booking, we were told that they had double-booked our table and we’d have to leave immediately. What made it worse was that they admitted they already knew about the double booking but hadn’t informed us until then. For £2 per person per hour, we got to play a great selection of board games 🎮 and ordered some refreshing mocktails 🍹, which were absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting 🕯️, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the games. The staff were fantastic—super friendly and attentive, even checking in on us while we figured out the game rules. If you're into board games, this is a must-visit while in Bristol! 🃏 Show less

We booked our team's winter party here - 4 hour gaming package with pies, drinks and snacks. Would 100% recommend, it was excellent value and we had a lovely time. Russell, Jacob and Alfie gave us a warm welcome and had everything well organised for us. Emily in the kitchen was excellent at accommodating our dietary requirements. We were a large group (15 people) and they have a small kitchen so the food didn't come out simultaneously, but they did their best to do a full table at a time. The selection of games here is always a delight, usually I come in a smaller group so we can get stuck into more strategy based games, so I wasn't sure how it would be in a larger group. But there are also plenty of party games and things that are quick to pick up when you have lots of players! We also had the whole front of the shop as part of the booking, which made it easy to squish together for a big game, or split up and play different things simultaneously. We'll definitely be back! I recently booked Chance and Counters for a work Christmas meal and from start to finish this was a lovely experience. All of my questions regarding the booking were answered very promptly by the very able and considerate Kim. As a fairly large group we were assigned our own section of the venue and provided with a surprisingly diverse range of pies to select from and well in advance of our booking. We really appreciated there were several options available for vegetarians, vegans, and with gluten-free options, so everyone in our group could really enjoy themselves. The Kim and the team were very flexible when it came to a last minute additions to our booking and offering to allow some of our group to change their pre-order on the day. Part of our package included arrival drinks which were served very promptly, and again there was a fantastic array of drinks to choose from, with the Bird and Blend tea and the cocktail selection particularly well received! The great selection of games kept us all very well entertained until our delicious pies arrived. The food was piping hot, well portioned, and we were all fully satisfied with our picks. The staff bringing our food and taking the drink/dessert orders etc. were lovely and friendly. Despite the venue being packed we had no issues getting anyone’s attention. They managed to hit that ideal balance of always being available without interrupting the flow of our games and chat. All in all a wonderful visit and my only regret was I hadn’t booked an extra hour as I think we’d all have stayed much longer, but that’s something we can remedy next year! Show less

I recently booked Chance and Counters for a work Christmas meal and from start to finish this was a lovely experience. All of my questions regarding the booking were answered very promptly by the very able and considerate Kim. As a fairly large group we were assigned our own section of the venue and provided with a surprisingly diverse range of pies to select from and well in advance of our booking.
