Took part in a D&D One-Shot event and was really impressed! A friend and I joined a game with 4 others, and there were enough people for a second game to be played alongside ours. Our DM was fantastic, very well prepared, and excellent enthusiasm (and patience!). I had limited knowledge on how the game runs, but the other players and the DM were happy to guide me through it - picked it up quick. I'm hoping to book on another one! Show less

Only note is that currently the only entrance is up two short steps of stairs, one just outside of the door and one on the inside, and the upstairs access to a selection of games is only via stairs as well (there are still games downstairs though and staff will help bring things down). I was there with my girlfriend and not only it felt as though we were waiting for service longer than people sitting next to us who came there after us, but also we were forgotten about multiple times, where parts of our orders needed to be requested multiple times, or were never delivered due to them forgetting about us until the bar/kitchen closed. They seemed to have no issue catering to a table of 4+ people though. When talking to us they were nice, but the forgetfulness soured the visit substantially. For burger and chips, 2x drinks and 3hrs I payed £33. But others bought chips and a drink and played 3hrs for £12.50. It depends on what you order. Show less

Giving my rating based mostly on it being a place you can play games. And there’s no complaints there! We had a lovely staff member explain several games to us and checked on us a few times during the night. There’s a huge variety of games and there’s a really lively atmosphere. I’ve been a few times and always left having had a good time. The mocktail I had was delicious (apple and elderflower) and a reasonable price for a non alcoholic drink. The staff were all friendly and the food and drink arrived quickly. However, I will say this is not really a place to get food. I’ve got food here quite a few times and it’s always been quite mid (for the price). This time I got the small mac and cheese with added brisket, which came to £9 (pictured). The meat was tough, not what I expect of brisket at all. My partner also was not a fan of his chicken burger. This hasn’t always been my experience but this time round we had to ask to order food and drinks which was a bit disappointing. But again, this is the first time that’s happened. Overall, I do love coming here to play games and the staff have always been great. Just wish the food was a bit cheaper and or better! Show less

I’ve been a few times and always left having had a good time. The mocktail I had was delicious (apple and elderflower) and a reasonable price for a non alcoholic drink. The staff were all friendly and the food and drink arrived quickly. However, I will say this is not really a place to get food.
