The parents were all blown away and for many it was their first time to visit Cidercade. They all plan to come back! The tables and bathrooms were clean and there were new arcades from the last time. All the machines were in good working order and there was lots of variety not just video games. I think they may need one more air hockey table as that was a HUGE hit! Love that there was a water fountain and cups so that the kids could get water for themselves. And hand sanitizer was also handy! The kids had a BLAST! Loved that we could bring in our own food and the chill vibes instead of some places that make you feel like you have to pay to breath the air. A wonderful experience and we will of course be back again! Show less

There are some of the coolest pinball machines I have ever seen, the Godzilla machine is out of this world. I had never seen magnets used the way it does to change the action of pinball, and they are used in a way that adds purpose to the Godzilla story themes. And the video elements come from some of my favorite movie plots. So that is just one of many popular cinema themed machines. There is a fun mix of vintage and more recent stand up video games. I just saw the new Tron Ares movie and wanted to play the vintage video game based on the original movie - they have that game too! And as always the cider is delicious. Show less

You walk into Cidercade Dallas and immediately understand something fundamental about American longing. This isn't just another bar with some dusty arcade cabinets shoved in the corner like an afterthought. No, this is something else entirely. This is a cathedral to the games that raised us, the quarters we fed into hungry machines while our parents weren't looking, the sticky joysticks and glowing screens that taught us about winning and losing long before life did. Adam behind the bar isn't just mixing ciders. He's conducting a symphony of flavors that would make you weep if you weren't too busy trying to remember the last time anything tasted this honest. These aren't ciders designed by some committee of marketing executives. These are liquid memories, each one a love letter to ingredients that actually matter. The man should quit his day job and open a distillery. Hell, he should run for office. And then there's Olivia. In a world full of servers who treat hospitality like a four letter word, she reminds you why people used to actually enjoy going out. She moves through the space like she owns it, because in a way, she does. This is her domain, and you're not just a customer here. You're a guest. There's a difference, and it matters more than you think. The Design District location feels intentional. Tucked away from the strip mall mediocrity that plagues most of this city, Cidercade exists in its own pocket universe where time moves differently. Where a first date doesn't have to involve small talk over overpriced drinks, and where marriages that have gone stale can remember what it felt like to play together. I've been to a lot of places that try to capture nostalgia. Most of them fail because they're trying too hard, slapping vintage signage over the same tired concept. But Cidercade gets it right because it doesn't feel like a museum. It feels alive. It feels like the place you wish existed when you were twelve, and somehow, miraculously, still exists now that you're old enough to appreciate it. This was my first time, but it won't be my last. Some places you visit. Others you return to. Show less

There’s so many games to choose from, including retro arcade games, plenty of racing options, a multitude of pinball machines, skeeball, basket ball, foosball, air hockey, three separate Guitar Hero’s, and a handful of Japanese games. Only a few games didn’t work but there were techs there fixing them as we played. My one tinyyyy complaint is that we couldn’t get Pac-man to work, and Frogger was nowhere to be found. But there was so many excellent games, I was more than satisfied. It’s only $12 for unlimited free play, we stayed about 3 hours until we got tired. The selection of ciders was also incredible, as someone who will always prefer cider to beer. I had one from the tart section and one sweet, both were delicious and accurate to the description. Also very reasonably priced! Overall a really awesome place to hang out and I would definitely come back for a birthday or other such event. Show less

We were blown away at how many games there were… the rooms kept going and going. There were lots of classic arcade games, pinball machines, and newer racing type games (motorcycle, Mario, kart, Jurassic Park, etc.). There was also skee ball, basketball, and air hockey tables. We liked trying so many different games! There was a great variety of hard cider on tap, but then bending machines with lots of great non-alcoholic options and snack options. The facility was very clean, and there was hand sanitizer available everywhere. I only saw one machine out of order and they were literally working on it right then. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were visiting from out of town, but I wish we had this back home, it was such a great time! Show less

What an incredible place! My 13-year-old and I had so much fun here for a few hours during the day on a Friday. For just $12 each, we could play anything we wanted for as long as we wanted. Show less
