Like the selection but as an avid Pokemon card collector some of their practices really really irk me. There are some sets that do not come in singles. Period. And I think it’s really shady to open a booster bundle and take out those cards to sell at a higher MSRP. I’m not talking about booster BOXE... Read more

Like the selection but as an avid Pokemon card collector some of their practices really really irk me. There are some sets that do not come in singles. Period. And I think it’s really shady to open a booster bundle and take out those cards to sell at a higher MSRP. I’m not talking about booster BOXES being opened, the BUNDLES (6 card packs). My husband tried to buy a booster bundle and they scanned it and said that the $40 price wasn’t correct and that this was being used for singles and didn’t sell it to him. Even though the other employee obviously thought the same thing as my husband, that it was for sell because it was out on the shelf with the other booster bundles. The employee also got an attitude with my husband when he bought 10 packs at $8 per pack. He asked him why he didn’t just get an ETB and my husband told him that it’s cheaper to get 10 packs at $8 than to buy the ETB with 9 packs at $100. First off why are you questioning your customers on what they are buying? Second, maybe we don’t want the ETB? Maybe we want more bang for our buck? I love the shop and the selection but watching some sets that were NOT released as booster boxes be split and taken out of ETBs and booster bundles (cough cough prismatic) to fill their shelves and jack up the price is really really disheartening. My 9 and 12 year old boys and I had a disappointing experience at CM Games Knoxville. They each picked out cards to purchase at West Town location. It was quick and easy. Then begged to go to the other location. Again they picked out their own cards and went to purchase. My 12 year old spotted a $61... Read more

My 9 and 12 year old boys and I had a disappointing experience at CM Games Knoxville. They each picked out cards to purchase at West Town location. It was quick and easy. Then begged to go to the other location. Again they picked out their own cards and went to purchase. My 12 year old spotted a $61 card he wanted. He went to the car to get his wallet. The associate started to ring us up and said "uh oh" and called over who I assume is a manager. The manager said "yeah that price is wrong, someone is probably going to get fired because of that." I said so you won't sell it at the price you have listed. "No" and then he walked away. We buy cards each time we are in Knoxville. Instead of following through with a purchase and potentially losing some money or not as much profit as anticipated, you have lost our business all together. The net profit would have been greater in a short amount of time from our repeated business. This was poor customer service and a poor choice by management. This happened 5 weeks ago. I left a review and even emailed them about our experience. No response. That speaks volumes about their character. We have given our business to other shops. Their loss. I suggest you do the same.
