Came for a Sunday dinner with my girlfriend today, sat down and the back doors were wide open tried to close them but they just kept opening. Came for a Sunday dinner with my girlfriend today, sat down and the back doors were wide open tried to close them but they just kept opening. Looked at menu and ordered at the bar. the staff behind the bar seemed like they didn’t know what day it was. I asked if they were still serving roast dinners. they said yes i ordered , the majority of what i ordered they didn’t have so ended up a roast chicken with mash potato, 2 carrots, cold onion rings and a bowl of kale. And a butternut squash roast with one roast potato and a carrot. I asked for some more gravy and the server came once we had finished our food stacked it on top of our plate and walked away. it was a complete waste of money wouldn’t come again. Show less

Looked at menu and ordered at the bar. the staff behind the bar seemed like they didn’t know what day it was. We met here for a friend's leaving drinks. The drink prices are reasonable considering it is the City Centre. I just had a portion of chips that were very chunky and really nice with a homemade feel. My friends tried the chicken, veggie, and beef burgers. They all enjoyed their meal with my friend ... Read more

We met here for a friend's leaving drinks. The drink prices are reasonable considering it is the City Centre. I just had a portion of chips that were very chunky and really nice with a homemade feel. My friends tried the chicken, veggie, and beef burgers. They all enjoyed their meal with my friend who had the beef burger saying it was amazing. One friend tried the meatball loaded chips, but I don't know what he thought about it. It was a decent portion, though. The staff were quite friendly and there's lots of separate seating areas for your group to enjoy a semi private space. There's also a garden area outside, which is great in summer and an additional seating area downstairs. One downside is that the toilets are a bit smelly, I think it's due to lack of ventilation as they're downstairs. They can cater for events and also have activities on. It's on the outskirts of the centre but right next to the NCP and bus station, so it's a great place to start or end your day. The doorway is a little narrow due to it being a very old pub, so I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a wheelchair inside. Also, the seating is on different levels, so only 3 seating areas are on the entrance level, which is also the level of the bar. Show less

We met here for a friend's leaving drinks. The drink prices are reasonable considering it is the City Centre. I just had a portion of chips that were very chunky and really nice with a homemade feel. My friends tried the chicken, veggie, and beef burgers. They all enjoyed their meal with my friend who had the beef burger saying it was amazing. One friend tried the meatball loaded chips, but I don't know what he thought about it. It was a decent portion, though. The staff were quite friendly and there's lots of separate seating areas for your group to enjoy a semi private space. There's also a garden area outside, which is great in summer and an additional seating area downstairs. One downside is that the toilets are a bit smelly, I think it's due to lack of ventilation as they're downstairs. They can cater for events and also have activities on. Has soon has I walked through the door the bar staff were very accommodating has they don’t do Guinness but they do other stouts and thanks for the recommendation a very good stout indeed price wise fine by me has the place is just so clean & bright but is very spacious n open with a down stairs . They do food and I wish I had waited because I feel I missed out has the food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled delicious made me very jealous of the people that were already dining . This place will tailor to your needs drink wise also food & they have a friendly dog to greet you on entry .The staff very helpful place very clean just a really nice place to drink or dine back ground music chilled Show less

What a fantastic place! An actual hidden gem right in the heart of Leeds centre! We host a weekly dungeons and dragons session here and its perfect! Folks come in here to eat, chat or take part in events, so theres none of the daft drunk stuff you get sometimes. So many cool things happening here like game clubs, film screenings as well as great food and drink at surprisingly reasonable prices. Recommend. If you are a bit of a geek....double recommend!
