5 months agoSome of the best Cajun I’ve had in a while. Super affordable but still quality. A beer, and bowl of fantastic gumbo for around $10 is probably what they’ll serve me if I ever clean up my act and make it to heaven. Throw in a lively crowed of regulars and two more beers and suddenly this place begins... Read more

3 months agoWent for lunch. Had the catfish. I asked if they could grill it, instead of being fried. They were very nice and accommodating. The fish came out delicious. The fries were made perfectly. I ate with a friend at the bar. The bartender lady was friendly, very efficient and professional. Overall, a ver... Read more

7 months agoTypical bar surround. As a local Louisianian, I was intrigued by their gumbo reviews. It’s…fine: 3 star in New Orleans and 4 star in Missoula. Poboy bread is hard to find so it’s a good subway bread. The rice is basically an Uncle Ben’s rice. The rue is dark and solid. I didn’t see any sausage or sh... Read more

I think it was $5 and we paid with a $10. We left after 15 minutes and realized we never received any change. Too lazy to walk back so…based on one cup of gumbo. It’s a nice place with decent potential. Show less

5 months agoRead the reviews and expected a dive bar. It is *in* a bar but that’s not the issue. We actually liked the music and the “dive bar” feel. I’m not a picky person but the guy BURNED burned the chicken. When I asked him about it he said “that’s because it’s the only way to get it to temperature” funny…... Read more

When I asked him about it he said “that’s because it’s the only way to get it to temperature” funny… no where else I’ve ever been had to burn chicken to get it to 165°. He offered to make something else, but the tone said he’d be happy to mess with it, too. The mozzarella sticks were good. 10/10 do NOT recommend getting the chicken since he doesn’t know how to cook it without burning it. Show less
