1 year agoDescent store with a good selection of board games, comics, mtg, tabletop games and RPG stuff. Staff was friendly after we had been in the store for twenty minutes. There is a room with tables to play games. It wasn't the friendliest welcome when we got there though, hence the 3 stars.

I picked up a couple of comics that said they were a release from that week and bought them and got home to find one of them was from the week before and I already had it. My bad as well for not keeping track like I should. There was a really nice guy that seemed to be new but the other two workers didn’t really talk or acknowledge me at all. Not a big deal for me but a lot of what I love about my local comic bookstore is that it is such a community. The old comics section was vast but very disorganized and I gave up trying to find what I was looking for after about 5 minutes. I don’t know if comics are the main focus of that shop. It was an okay experience but was looking for a little more organization and friendliness overall. Hats off to the new guy though. Thanks for being so friendly. Show less

This store is abysmal at best! For starters parking is a nightmare where you either have to parallel park out front or in the tiny lot out back that's always full. Once you make it in its clear they don't take any money and put it back into the business. The floors needed to be replaced years ago. Only some of the table's have table mats and if they do they are 5+ years old from before the last rotation of standard. The chairs are something picked up from a middle school with bent legs, no cushion or arch support that will make you need to schedule a chiropractic appointment after. The bathroom is worse than any truck stop in the tri-state area. If their is no room to play upstairs they will stuff you in the basement next to leaking pipes where you're probably breathing in mold while you pray no water leaks on your cards. In the rare event you decide to buy product the selection is poor and the prices are 30% more than any other stores in the area. Don't bother asking the staff a question because they'll act annoyed or inconvenienced if they're even at the register because lets be honest they're probably at a table playing. The final straw for me was when I called ahead to see if they were doing the Final Fantasy Commander Party and if they had the Final Fantasy promos for the event. They told me that was on the agenda for the night. Imagine how annoyed I was when I showed up and they were passing out normal promo's and not doing the event I was told they would be doing. I asked the employee and he seemed like he had no clue what was going on. All this on top of the myriad of other issues is why I decided to drop from the event and just leave. I will continue to take my business to Game Grid and Moonwake even if it means I have to drive 15 minutes plus, instead of down the road to the poor excuse of a game store known as "Dragons Keep" Show less

2 years agoCatering to comics/graphic novels and magic the gathering/pokemon, the place has done well in regards to that. Good selection of old and new board games and minis. Overall, something for all gamer types, with slightly more in the ccg's/tcg gaming.

I spent 8 hours here for a Star Wars Armada tournament and the things that stuck out were the friendly staff, the amount of tables for gaming, and the cheap water bottles. There are a handful of standing height gaming tables on the ground floor along with all the products, and the basement has 4-6 more tables in one area plus a smaller separate room. It was steadily busy the Saturday I was there, with people playing a variety of tabletop and card games/shopping. They also have physical LFG bulletin boards. Parking in the small lot at the rear is very cramped and the handful of spaces out front are 2-hour limited, but there is street parking close enough by that it wasn't unmanageable. Show less

If you're looking for comic books I'd recommend going elsewhere. Their selection of new stuff is minimal, stuff goes missing from their holds all the time, and they look up prices individually on every single back issue while you're waiting at the register. Staff was okay. Mostly friendly but a few of them definitely have no idea what's going on, they might be new so I'll give them some grace for that, but they didn't have to act like I just spit on their shoe after asking a question. TLDR decent for gaming, go somewhere else for comics. Show less

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, after they've been there a minute. Exactly the kind of people you want working at your Friendly Local Game Store. The manager, Jeremy, is great and has become one of my good friends over my time as a continued customer. For TCG events (specifically Magic: the Gathering), you'd be hard-pressed to find another store so great for regular attendance. In my 7 years of patronage, the Friday Night Magic draft happened, with enough people, every single week except for a few odd ones out during the COVID lockdown, and I was there for them. The best part are the regulars. I've been to a few different stores for drafts, prereleases, and other events (commander night, standard, modern, etc.), but none have had the quantity and quality of people that Dragon's Keep does. The more experienced players don't go easy on you, per se, but they're more than willing to help you revise your deck in Draft and Sealed events. They want you to be able to improve and feel good. Dragon's Keep's employees and culture have fostered a great play space and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They also do have a wide variety of products when it comes to board games, card games, and peripherals. The staff can help you figure out what best meets your needs as well; they don't just sell the products, they use them and know them. Admittedly, I've never purchased comic books there, but I know that they'll order things in for you. Selling singles to the store doesn't net you the best price, and their selection of singles isn't always going to include what you need, but they are far and away one of the best game stores by culture, sealed product and games, and employees. I recommend this to all my friends and family; they are fantastic to me, and they're fantastic to them. Show less
