This place deserves every single one of it's 5 star reviews. List of perks: Great location about 7 mins from Shibuya station. Board games in English, Japanese, Korean and potentially more I'm not sure. A dozen or so international beers to choose from as well as various mixed drinks and non alcoholic drinks. Most importantly though, the staff is awesome and can help in English or Japanese with learning and suggesting different games. The owner is awesome and super nice as well! If you're looking for a new spot to hang out with friends at, try this place out and I'm sure you'll have a blast. Show less

This place deserves every single one of it's 5 star reviews. List of perks: Great location about 7 mins from Shibuya station. Last weekend I joined a meetup of the board game cafe and it has been a great experience! It's the perfect place to meet new people (locals and japanese) in a relaxed atmosphere (even though it's in the middle of crowded Shibuya!). They have loads of different board games for all sizes of groups, so it's very easy to connect with other people. The hosts are the best you can imagine! After spending a few hours at the café, our group was given yukatas and we went all together to see the fireworks of a local festival - it was a perfect Saturday. 100% recommendation for everyone. I will definitely go there again! (PS: For people who like chess - try Shogi!) Show less

Last weekend I joined a meetup of the board game cafe and it has been a great experience! It's the perfect place to meet new people (locals and japanese) in a relaxed atmosphere (even though it's in the middle of crowded Shibuya!). They have loads of different board games for all sizes of groups, so it's very easy to connect with other people. The hosts are the best you can imagine! My friends and I visited DyCE last year and had such a great time, the staff was so welcoming and provided such excellent service and we were so impressed by the board game collection. I liked the place so much I decided to host a private bday party here last weekend and all of my guests had an absolute blast! We decided to host a murder-mystery theme which ended up being so fun because the space served so well for it and everyone got to enjoy the all-you-can-drink option offered in the menu. The owner is so incredibly friendly and personable and made the whole night go really smoothly for us, she even put up some decorations and showed us hospitality that went above and beyond throughout the night. We are so grateful to Marina for the stellar event and amazing service she gave. We will never forget the wonderful time we had thanks to DyCE and we plan on visiting again just to play some of their many many board games! Show less

She was very accommodating and even played some board games with us. She is also fluent in Japanese and English, so we didn’t have a hard time communicating and even met others that speak English as well. It truly is a great place to hang out and meet new people. Everyone here we met was super nice and friendly. In addition, they have a wide variety of board games from different countries. The ones we played were super fun and easy to get into. Her collection is really impressive. To top it off, the food and drinks were delicious! We had the cheese bacon pizza and it was amazing!
