good selection of singles and the staff is nice, but it’s a real bummer that they charge scalper prices on all product they have. mtg msrp is already getting a bit inaccessible to the average player, but to charge sometimes double that MSRP is crazy. there are shops in san antonio that will charge MSRP on product (or only slightly over), so those will be the much better option if you’re looking to play and collect the game without paying $899 for a collector box lol. if you’re just looking for singles, however, this is one of the best options. i haven’t actually purchased them so i don’t know if they mark up these prices as well so definitely do your research on what you’re purchasing, but the selection is vast. Edit: the response from the business is a bit misleading/dismissive of the issue. MTG does have a MSRP (that TCGplayer doesn’t set or determine). TCGplayer prices for new releases/releases in general is secondary market pricing (aka scalper pricing a lot of the time). for example; the $899 collector box i was referring to is what they (fabled tavern) had the spiderman collector box’s listed at (when their MSRP was around $400- a price places like knight watch charged for their box). I have had an overall great customer experience from Fabled Tavern. I was buying consistently from them until recently when the monthly deals stopped. Ths specials going away is a big deal and why I dropped 2 stars. Sad to see them go as they were the main reason to shop here over a local competitor... Read more

Came in for some singles and vaguely hopeful for precons of the latest set and they were really helpful and had it all (well, almost all) Overall very impressed with this new local card shop, definitely coming bac... I just got into magic a few months ago and I have a lot of bulk now to start with because of some of the mystery boxes and promos just giving me free stuff... Read more

Genuinely my favorite place to buy table top stuff from. A great selection of just about anything you need and they always run wonderful promos! I just got into magic a few months ago and I have a lot of bulk now to start with because of some of the mystery boxes and promos just giving me free stuff! Also all my deck are sleeved and have deck boxes because quite often they get included for free! The best part is the owner is just a super cool guy! Always super active on Instagram and emails! He even reached out to me once when I place a big order just to make sure I knew one of the promos I ordered would only apply on to one of the pre-cons I ordered at the time not all of them and he just wanted to make sure I knew that before he did my order! So many other business would have just taken the money and not said anything! All in all super genuine guy and the shop has great products, deals, and prices I can't recommend it enough I've already placed about 4 or 5 orders now and I have had no problems!!! I just got into magic a few months ago and I have a lot of bulk now to start with because of some of the mystery boxes and promos just giving me free stuff! However i went back that night to play and all i can say is if you dont have a big wallet deck dont go here. They are mostly playing ... Read more

So i want to start with saying the guy at the counter was super awesome help with my Perri deck and everything. Did some good trades for upgrades to the deck. However i went back that night to play and all i can say is if you dont have a big wallet deck dont go here. They are mostly playing bracket 4 decks with multiple game changers and infinites and love to bully the new guy at the table. I played one creature. Destroyed, tried to play another countered. Even tho i wasnt the threat. Staff 10/10 players 2/10. I would go again to buy stuff but to play i rather not i felt very bullied out of the store game play wise. Went again today just to have 3 petty players get upset i wouldnt let them target and bully me and swung / remove back at them. The players there need to be studied Show less
