3 years agoWhat's not to love? It's the classic ZP, but bigger! Tons of tables for wargaming and card games, an extensive board game library to sit down and check out a game, and a cafe for when you get hungry.

Honestly screw this place and the rude old man who works back there. I can go to literally any store to get cards appraised and he told me he REFUSED to do it for me, because I was asking him to do all the work. Told him i could look the prices up online myself, however im not sure i im aeeing the right price for the card. Not to mention I'm pretty sure that's your job homie. He said he would charge me $40 a hour for an appraisal. When I told him that I just went somewhere and they would do it on the spot, he told me I was lying. When he asked why I didn't do it there I said because I needed to wait for the manager to come in because he's the only one trusted to make those final calls. And he called me a liar. I've done this so many times at so many places. This man apparently works every day for free and refused to help a single struggling mother or even give me a different idea of how to get this accomplished. I mentioned to him that I'm a struggling single mom and that's why i needed to do this, he said "so what so are we". ....yeah except you're 75 years old have TWO businesses that rip people off. Comment back to me and ill tell you a more legit place that you can accomplish things like this t a legit business where customer service matters. Don't go here. EDITED TO ADD: I have now called 4 other places and ALL of them are willing to appraise my cards FOR FREE. So dont waste your time. Go to flipside gaming in Clifton park, funzone, jay street games in the mall, and flights to games and hobbies right down the road from this horrible place. Show less

2 years agoGreat place to hang out and play whatever game you may be into. Board games, CCG's, TTRPG's, miniatures, etc. Whatever kind of gaming you're into, there is likely a day of the week (or multiple) that they have people there playing it.

Their old product stay there collecting dust because nobody wants to overpay so much. Not to mention the abysmal prize support or the lack of case/box tournaments like other stores. Honestly skip this place and go to Fanzone down the road. Andrew is much nicer and honestly cares about his community. Have a great day!! Show less

I was visiting the area for the weekend and decided to give this place a look. The parking leaves a little bit to be desired, but the actual facility itself is wonderful! When you first walk in, the store area itself feels a little on the smaller side, but is super well-stocked with a ton of cards for various games. Going further in, there are displays containing items from various games, including some very cool and old Dungeons and Dragons modules/books. The actual play area was staggeringly big. The property seems to have been an industrial garage/warehouse at one point so there’s two main play areas that can host something like 60-80 some-odd people with tables to match. There’s space for more than one event to be going on at once. (And not even feel truly crowded, at that.) What really shocked me was the fact that even with all this area to play, they have a full cafe setup! You can order various fast-food options like chicken-on-a-stick (which I had. it was great.), burgers, fries etc. It was nice to not have to go looking for food in other areas or come prepared with food/drink for a long gaming session. The staff was also very professional and welcoming too. I spent a good deal of time speaking with Alec, who showed me around the venue and was super helpful in finding some specific cards I’d been looking for. Thanks Alec! All in all, this place is worth your time if you’re a local or visiting. Highly recommended. Show less

The person behind the cafe super nice as well and for a place were you can only have food that they make and drinks their prices are reasonable and fair The events they host clean and organized and the rewards for playing even in local Friday night magic really good There are few minor things 1) big gaming space is def on the warm side in the summer ( just dress accordingly) 2) in terms of singles they don’t have alot. ( that’s because they sell out of them quickly and that just means there popular and do very well) But if your new to magic the gather or heck love board games I highly recommend this place they also have a huge board game selection for people to play and some to buy . Looked up local events for magic, found their draft night, followed the directions to get there on time. Only to be told that the site was wrong, and I needed to go somewhere else. When I showed up to next location, which was not listed for the event, was told, sorry, you’re too late (which sucks, but I can handle), bye (we don’t want you here). They acknowledged the site was wrong, but who cares, bye. They then proceeded to lie about what the site said, despite being shown they were wrong according to the online event. Mess ups happen. That’s understandable. But, when there’s no attempt to be friendly, no, “we hope you come back next week,” just nudging folks out the door after the store messes up? That’s not a place that welcomes new people. That’s not a place that cares about community. Show less
