This store is fantastic and it's the staff that makes it that way. Prices are decent and in line with what you'd expect, but the employees make this place truly great. I used to play MTG, but haven't in almost 12 years. I recently wanted to get back into it and Alex made that incredibly easy. Helpe... Read more

This store is fantastic and it's the staff that makes it that way. Prices are decent and in line with what you'd expect, but the employees make this place truly great. I used to play MTG, but haven't in almost 12 years. I recently wanted to get back into it and Alex made that incredibly easy. Helped me pick out new products to get me started, answered all of my dumb questions, and even ran through a quick game with me and my friend to show us the ropes of the new preferred play style. My only complaint is the beverage fridge could be a little better stocked and a little colder, but that's really it. Even then, it's not that bad and the drinks are reasonably priced. Overall, this store is great. Everyone, including other customers, have been very welcoming. Which is not how it was with MTG back in the day. Keep up the great work and you will have certainly gained a new customer for life! Show less

This store is fantastic and it's the staff that makes it that way. Prices are decent and in line with what you'd expect, but the employees make this place truly great. I used to play MTG, but haven't in almost 12 years. I recently wanted to get back into it and Alex made that incredibly easy. Funkatronic Rex is such a great place to hang out, buy Pokémon items, and play for fun. We've been coming here for about two months, mostly for the free-to-play events, and the atmosphere has always been welcoming and enjoyable. This was our first real tournament at Funkatronic Rex, and we were excited to join in. The location is fantastic, and the community is really friendly. However, during the tournament, we had a frustrating experience with one of the judges, who was unprofessional and dismissive. This was only the second time we encountered this particular judge, and her attitude was a real letdown compared to the usual positive environment at Funkatronic Rex. It was clear that she treats participants unfairly, applying penalties inconsistently and being rude to those who were just trying to follow the rules. She acted as if she owned the place, and it felt like no one felt they could stand up to her—meaning she must get away with this behavior regularly. Despite this, we’ll definitely continue to come back to Funkatronic Rex for future events. It’s a wonderful place to be, and we look forward to many more fun times here! Show less

Funkatronic Rex is such a great place to hang out, buy Pokémon items, and play for fun. We've been coming here for about two months, mostly for the free-to-play events, and the atmosphere has always been welcoming and enjoyable. This was our first real tournament at Funkatronic Rex, and we were excited to join in. The location is fantastic, and the community is really friendly. However, during the tournament, we had a frustrating experience with one of the judges, who was unprofessional and dismissive. Highly recommend for gaming enthusiasts. Whether you are a casual gamer looking for a fun game for date night or a serious gamer with an army of miniatures or custom card decks, this place has something for everyone. Stumbled into Funkatronic Rex after picking up food nearby. Was immediately impressed with the Owner’s enthusiasm and passion for games. The store is broken down into various sections and includes a wide variety of puzzles, miniatures, boardgames, card games, and role-playing games. The store also has a number of accessories for miniatures, collectors, and gaming enthusiasts. After spending almost an hour browsing the store and its immense collection, we purchased a number of games for our ever expanding collection. Unfortunately due to Covid-19, we were not able to enjoy the play-before-you-pay experience or participate in Funkatronic’s Friday game night. However, we are very much looking forward to returning when things get back to normal and joining this wonderful gaming community. Highly recommend. Great prices. Great inventory. Highly recommend for gaming enthusiasts. Whether you are a casual gamer looking for a fun game for date night or a serious gamer with an army of miniatures or custom card decks, this place has something for everyone. Stumbled into Funkatronic Rex after picking up food nearby. Was immediately impressed with the Owner’s enthusiasm and passion for games. This place was pretty okay. Not a huge amount of room in it, maybe could get rid of a couch and put another round table or something. For sure need to do something to give More option for play. When I was there 2 people got in a huge fight about mtg(never seen this before) the workers kicked out one... Read more

When I was there 2 people got in a huge fight about mtg(never seen this before) the workers kicked out one of them who seemed to have been kicked out before, she was asking her time period before she can come back so she already knew how they do it. They sat and talked to her outside for like 3 hours... imo not a good player the way she acted should have been immidiate GTFO. So I do fear this is a repeatable thing that will happen. They have a normal card selection nothing too crazy. Getting a promo for playing is nice. Drinks in the way back should probably be more accessible. Overall vibe was just not the best. Might go back if friends force me to play there otherwise probably not. Show less
