1 month agoWelcoming to those on the autism spectrum. High quality on every level. On a Saturday afternoon, young and old were playing games and milling about as if the world was not about to end. I think the owner, Phil is spiking the experience with kindness. Watch out.

1 month agoAmazing store. Pittsburgh is lucky to have several amazing game stores and this is no exception. The owner (Phil) is always kind and enthusiastic, the free play area is cheap and welcoming, and the coffee and treats at the Dragon Roast are wonderful as well. Easy recommendation.

Phil (the owner) has consistently been investing in the business to make it a welcoming place to just...hang out and spend time playing games with people. The addition of the coffee shop and cafe in the "play area", combined with the massive expansion in selection of games you can check out, have changed the place from just "a great board game shop" to an actual board game cafe - something I've really wanted to see come to the area for a long time. Even though the store is a little out of the way for my friends and I compared to others that are more...basement oriented...we've started coming here instead. It's been totally worth the drive. Being able to grab Oram's donuts to bring home to my wife for the weekend while out for a Friday night magic draft has really made it a much better "sell" around the house :). Show less

Their collection of both the for sale games as well as the in shop rental library are thoughtfully curated and well maintained. The owner was there and thrilled to give me the tour of his shop and gave great recommendations for the type of games I enjoy and for various number of players. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun, both the for sale section as well as the play space. Rarely have I come across such an amazing collection, much less often even do I find a place where you're encouraged to bring and play your own games on top of having an entire wall of rental games to choose from in house! Game Masters is an absolute treat from the casual board game enjoyer to the collector. I will definitely be back! Show less

Great selection and liked the natural light and the social areas in the front instead of in the back like some other board game stores. Phil gave us the tour and recommended some drinks at the Dragon Roast Cafe. As an apple cider and cinnamon person, his recommendation was spot on. The barista, who I didn't get the name of (sorry!), was also cool and great with making sure we were 100% happy with our drinks. I only wish we had a space like this near where we live as we would definitely go all the time with friends and family. We will definitely return the next time we are in Pittsburgh! Show less

Beautiful Luxury Dice? YEP! Board Games? They have them too! There are so many board games that you can purchase, rent, or even reserve a table for to play with friends. My pre-release experience was phenomenal for Final Fantasy MTG and I hope to return to this store in the future to get to know regulars and staff closer from how friendly they were. Show less
