Great local game store in Raleigh! I prefer to buy all of my board games from here when I can. They have a decent selection and the folks that work here are super helpful and have helped me find some new favorite board games. There's a pretty decent rewards program so if you shop here frequently enough you're eligible for some discounts. My husband also appreciates that they have a ton of Warhammer 40K stuff ! Show less

A gaming gem for gamers new and old. Don't be put off by some unhappy reviews. Yes, I'm sure bad things happened to some people but tearing down a place that literally hosts gamers, and helps gamers, is so counterproductive it's crazy to me. If you want a place people can enjoy their games with others, please support this spot. I discovered it only recently much to my loss. My story: my young budding gamer son wanted a game and they kindly ordered it, found it, called us and helped me surprise my guy. He'll remember their kindness. He won't know about "reviews". Let's be kinder to each other, including Game Theory's awesome staff, and let's not judge folks who may have had a bad day. I know I've behaved badly when I lose or don't get my way. Honestly, this is the best trading card shop I've ever been to. The prices are fair. The people their are fun to talk to and love what they do. Their pricing is significantly better than any other card shop, and they don't cheat people in their pre-release event like other stores. I'm definitely coming back here. Great selection of product, and friendly staff, however I find the prices for both trading card games and board games can sometimes be surprisingly over MSRP, so double check prices online before buying here. Once I bought a board game here that was selling for $100 more than the online price from the game developer themselves. That was a while ago and I did get $50 in store credit to make up part of the difference after I asked, however, I am experiencing similar pricing discrepancies now that I'm getting back into Magic: The Gathering so I would just say be careful. Supporting your FLGS is important as long as the pricing is honest. Show less

Great selection of product, and friendly staff, however I find the prices for both trading card games and board games can sometimes be surprisingly over MSRP, so double check prices online before buying here. Once I bought a board game here that was selling for $100 more than the online price from the game developer themselves. We found this place by an accident, when we went to Raleigh for the day. They carried many different board games, sleeves, deck boxes, play mats, packs, singles, dice and card games. My husband was able to pick up a new deck from Vanguard for his friend and I got a huge deck case for us for $60. The people they have working there are very nice and they don't have a minimum that you have to pay with a debt card. We will plan to go back in the near future. Show less

We shop here often, however the last several times they are always out of what I'm looking for. The staff are super helpful and willing to special order anything you need (if they carry it/can get it). They have a huge selection of board games for every level and interest. They frequently hold events for many different games. My biggest complaint is that it always smells terrible in there, guys (customers) please for the love of god shower yourselves and use deodorant. The store needs to invest in some major air purification/freshener. Show less

The staff are super helpful and willing to special order anything you need (if they carry it/can get it). They have a huge selection of board games for every level and interest. Huge place with what seemed like 10+ open tables for open game play, tons of table games, dice sets, figures, paint, etc. They even hold tournaments and things like that (Pokemon tourney tomorrow for example) you can find on their calendar of events.
