They JUST opened and I am so happy with our experience! We live right down the road and we can't visit the Tempe location as regularly anymore after having our baby, so having this spot open a couple blocks down is amazing! Everyone was really nice and had great attitudes! Massive variety of games to choose from and their inventory is well stocked, even after all the shoppers they've had. We stepped into the connected restaurant and had a great time too. The burgers were hot and seasoned well, the fried mushrooms were amazing but I think the real star or the show was the mead! We had a glass of Blood of the Blood God and WOW! Will definitely be coming back more often to try the rest of their fun menu :) I didn't catch everyone's names we spoke to but we appreciate all the hard work they're doing at making this place so awesome :) Show less

Been trying to give this "community" a chance. I have been pretty respectful in regards to the establishments policies. However, there are quite a few "policies" that aren't communicated clearly on either the website or in store. They don't put price tags on their products. Now normally I understand however, their reasoning for this is so it can reflect the most accurate "market price." That is not true. Several products they carry, are cheaper through an official distributor across the UNITED STATES than it is in store. That's the market. So when you bring a product up to check out knowing what the price should be and it's 10 to 40% higher and after providing proof they still don't honor their own policy. That's a problem. And nowhere do they tell you that split payment is not an option. This is in one way a nitpick but in another bad for business in general. Let me pay half cash half card what's the issue? I paid for things in cash there and then I paid for things with card. You can't stand there and tell me you can't split it... Don't brand as something that includes all and fails to include all. Not just on a human basis but in all fields. Down right complicated and inconsiderate. You wanna be better? Stop being a part of the problem. P.S. Real LGS have better prices and vibes. Show less

2 months agoAs always Gamers Guild AZ comes through. Had seen this game and wanted it. Couldn’t find it locally, so came here. Price was great as usual and service was exceptional. Always good. Also, Sage Stones is simple to learn, but can be cut throat at times. A balanced amount of luck and strategy.

I have now placed two orders with Gamers Guild that each included multiple preorders with varied release dates, and both times the orders have shipped earlier than expected. That combined with great customer service and competitive pricing will definitely keep me coming back! Show less

This gaming store is hidden gem for our community. Not only do they have a large & varied inventory they have a lots of space to play games. Unlike most gaming stores, they do not charge to use table space and host events everyday including free Learn To Play events! They also have a non-discrimination policy protecting all people, as well as a Code of Conduct to assist people with unique needs the same opportunity to play as anyone else. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about most games, and what they don't personally know about they look up details and reviews for you. Because they regularly offer discounts and bundles they don't put prices on their products, but they have several stations where you can scan the product without talking to anyone. They offer in-store pick-up for website orders (as well as regular shipping), pre-order discounts, and memberships with different perks including deeper discounts and earlier access to pre-ordering. I started shopping there shortly after they opened, and honestly only use them now. Show less

Many stores do a small down payment instead for a reason if they can't confirm they'll be getting the item in stock. Wasn't fun waiting 3 weeks to get an email that I already paid for was not even coming in stock in the first place. Meanwhile it sold out in every other store that had it in stock or for preorder by the time the email came. Then it took another week to process the order after the order update. Good packaging at the very least though. Show less

Customer service can sometimes be slow I do understand considering this growth the store has experienced. This location is huge and accommodates hundreds of people sometimes. Fantastic pre-releases for many games or TCGs and wargames. Overall this store is a fantastic harmonious environment with food and alcohol serve directly to your table and decent pricing. Show less

The location is beautiful and the floor staff is really nice. Buying cards from here is an absolute pain though. They don’t have anything onsite so you have to order online and wait. Some of the cards are overpriced by a lot, like 40% and when I asked about the price and showed proof of a cheaper market rate on TCG I was told since I had placed the order the price couldn’t be changed, even though I selected pay in store. So I can’t order cards onsite and when I call in I’m told to order online. If they can only adjust the price before you order then how can they ever adjust a price if it’s too much? The card “manager” was clueless and told me that they were the manager but also that their boss wouldn’t let them adjust the price? Oh and to top it off you have to fill out a DMV information sheet in order to do a trade in. All in all. I bought one card and I’m exhausted and feel ripped off. I may go for the tournaments but I won’t be buying cards from this location until something changes. Show less

10 months agoYou must see this place!! Massive selection of games! Full of people! You can play games for free! You can rent a table-for free! You can meet fellow gamers! You can eat here! In a world thats become much more closed off or antisocial this is a place of human gathering. Definitely worth a look.

- The Scottsdale Gun Club of Tabletop Gaming. - Free to play, lots of tables, free board game library, very comfortable padded chairs. Exclusive member packages. -- They don't list the price on the board game boxes, you have to scan it and look it up individually using little kiosks. That's one big annoying thing to note. HUGE selection of everything, board games of all sizes from small to huge, Warhammer variants, Warhammer miniatures, paints, terrain, brushes, trading card game boxes, trading card game playmats, all the dice you could ever desire, a freaking gigantic playroom area, some of the best bathrooms I've ever seen in my life, and exclusive membership benefits that rival the Scottsdale Gun Club but of the tabletop gaming community. Like there's a partner package that is $150 a month, they even have their own separate members lounge with better seating arrangements. I like that Forks & Boards the restaurant is built-in/tied-in, the hours for Forks & Boards seemed more towards opening in the early evening. Tons of events here, I do like that it's free, tons of table configurations, tons of environment pieces to use, love the padded chairs they use - very comfortable. One of the best restroom arrangements I've ever seen, you walk in and see a massive area to wash/dry your hands, a huge mixture of paper towel dispensers and air dryers. Followed by a hallway of individual rooms with toilets, doors that close and lock securely, no gaps, a normal toilet with real toilet paper. I will say I thought it was odd having hand-sensing faucets, as they go from 0 to 100 Niagara Falls level of output with no in-between. There are individual restrooms outside of the general restroom area that are very accessible for wheelchair users/other family-kid arrangements. Moderately large selection of high quality board games to play with their free board game library. It's also completely free to bring in your own board games/tabletop games and play here completely free. They have drinks and snacks you can purchase, QR codes on every table it appeared. I personally think Mox Boarding House has a better system for food ordering but Gamers Guild AZ wins out in the comfort level of play, Gamers Guild uses very comfortable padded chairs. Better for long gameplay sessions. Gamers Guild also offers private game rooms, with all the accessories and things you will need for your gaming session. Their membership packages are kind of interesting, three packages, two of them are normal, $10/mo - $50/mo, and then the third is like $150/mo. Granted, I will say, if this is your main hobby and have adult money to throw around, the $150/mo package comes with great perks/merchandise. I'm a man of poor spending habits, if this was your main hobby - 'why not?', heck it even comes with a meal upgrade (see I'm just selling myself on the package, keep these packages away from my wallet). They get you access to the members only lounge area, better tables, better board game library, better chairs, quieter, and a premium experience. I thought it was a really cool place, definitely spacious, kind of wonder how loud it would get when full and how they plan to mitigate that in the future. When I was there it was very quiet but it wasn't busy, only a few people playing. They carried some unique miniature hard cases from a company called Battle Foam, which is a local company, thought that was neat. It would be a 5-star if they marked their prices better on their products instead of forcing you to price-check it yourself in a slightly annoying manner. However, overall, a great experience, with exclusive perks to those who are willing to pay. Show less

1 month agoForks and Boards attached to Gamers Guild is pretty good! My friends and I eat brunch every weekend while we play some cards and everything so far I have eaten there so far has been better than expected! Especially the breakfast sandwich with the maple aioli! The breakfast pizza is good too!

2 months agoShipment arrived faster than anticipated (even through usps!) And the booster boxes were in "tip-top" shape. At an actual cost your typical magic player is willing to spend. I will definitely be a return customer. High five! Haaah!

3 months agoIt's as if this game shop has made every effort to take common pitfalls by typical game stores and avoid those issues, because the space here is large, clean, accommodating, food is actually decent, etc. They take their business seriously and it shows. This is a true gaming hangout joint for anyone.

I have been a customer for almost two years now. My significant other and I come in there often and sit at the bar. We like to have a round of drinks and open up Pokémon packs. I enjoy the bar because I am also a bartender and have been for the last 11 years. We did have a relatively good experience the first few times so we came back on a regular basis. Then out of nowhere staff started to treat us like complete strangers and the bartender with the beard became overly creepy. To the point where it becomes uncomfortable to sit and have a drink without eyes on you being watched. I tip over 20% everywhere I go because I know the industry so it’s not about the money. Unfortunately we won’t be back, also the packs you guys sell are questionable. 🤨 you can tell they have been open and repacked. They are out of order in some packs that are sold in the ugly big tin boxes “sealed” so that’s a dead give away for sure. We have been buying packs for years now! We have had good packs an and bad packs like the rest of them. We noticed that the cards are out of order in some collectors packs like they have been repacked. We are pretty familiar of the order in newer packs and older packs so we were kind of shocked. Nice try, hope you guys don’t get caught because if we noticed someone else will. Watch out. Show less

This is a very large and excellent space for like minded community members to come and hang out but also to purchase their table gaming items as needed. Very inviting, clean, comfortable, and fun! Absolutely will be back again.
