Kind and knowledgeable staff always make you feel welcome. Great selection of collectible card games. They have a perfect area for all types of tabletop games in the back.

Update: Matt worked with me to process a refund for an order that could not be fulfilled. I hope their move to a new store goes smoothly, and I hope I can visit sometime if I'm in the area to check it out.

I look forward to coming to this store again in the future when i need help with things or want to purchase something specific. He was also clearly doing this job for the love of the hobbies, and a big part of what he wanted was to have more people come to join in the various tournaments and events his store held. Ill update this if i have any issues with getting the product i ordered. Show less

On July 1, Gamer Loot informed me of the order’s cancellation due to supply challenges, offering alternative bundles or a refund. I requested a refund the same day. After a 14-day wait, during which their refund policy and terms pages were inaccessible due to website errors, I filed a bank dispute on July 15. The owner responded to my review on July 20, noting allocation difficulties. On July 23, I received the full refund. Thank you, Gamer Loot, for resolving this! I hope for improved online communication and website access moving forward. Show less

I went for a Commander EDH night and it was by far the greasiest store that I have played at in Indianapolis. We are talking the dirtiest bathroom that I have seen including truck stops. Mold/Mildew on the walls and clearly not maintained or cleaned. The experience was a comedy skit of the challenges of playing MTG. 10 dollar fee to play EDH, get 1 old pack as part of entry and two promos. Probably the worst overall value in the city compared to moonshot that gives you equivalent credit and 2 cards out of their binders or game time and Elf n Moon that do not charge for Commander night. My pod was probably the most awkward pod that I have played in a long time. One player smelled so bad that I was relived when the match was done and the pod rotated the other player in the pod sang randomly. The event fired 30 minutes late. I played 2 games in 5 hours due to two players doing everything they could to neither win or let anyone else win. No singles selection at the time but they were moving store fronts. The owner seemed nice enough and I might check out the new spot but unless they stock singles and set some level of hygiene and delivery standards for themselves, I don't see myself picking this store over other local stores. The owner seemed like a nice enough dude, if not a little awkward. Edit: To address some of the owner's comments, because honestly, I found the response a little disappointing. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting, and to shrug a shoulder and say "it was not designed to be used by anyone other than the employees" - so you just never cleaned the restroom? Regarding the length of the match, you yourself said that you tried to get players at the table to eliminate another player. That is not an issue with the bracket but with the environment/vibe of the match. If I had to leave at the posted close, I would have been able to play a game and a half for 10 bucks. That is a bad experience. Regarding the "I did not notice anyone with hygiene issues," then you must have just not had a nose. It was pretty awful. Based on the owner's response, the multiple reviews stating he oversold his allocation and had to refund the vibe just seem off, and I will avoid this shop. Luckily there are a dozen other great shops in indy to shop at. Show less

What was really distracting was the cat HOWLING somewhere in the store. There was also a PowerPoint presentation happening on the wall, and two people were discussing proper posture or something. This location may be new, as I have not noticed it before. I might give it another chance. Show less

Like many it seems, I pre-ordered Final Fantasy MTG cards from Gamer's Loot over the internet. They didn't get their full allocation from Wizards, which they let me know right away -- still all good. They said they'd get more and I could wait for a restock, then switched to offering me items from the Holiday release (but wouldn't tell me what they'd be charging). Two months ago, I gave up and have been trying to get a refund since. They've stopped answering my emails altogether. I got them on the phone once and they blamed Shopify for making the refund process difficult. They don't pick up the phone any more. I'm disappointed to say the least. Update: After opening a dispute with my credit card company, I was able to get the charge back. It took over 9 months since my initial pre-order, over 6 months since the store told me they couldn't fulfill the pre-order, and almost 3 months since I -- in no uncertain terms -- said I needed a refund. I'll give Gamer's Loot credit for being transparent with the credit card company and getting the dispute resolved, but really: don't do online business with them (and definitely don't do pre-orders). They are not equipped to handle it. Show less

The market price is the resale market and you are trying to charge resale prices for a brand new item. If you are looking for sealed product I would recommend Moonshot in plainfield or noblesville or even the dugout. These places are pretty much at retail everytime something new drops. The owner, Matt, has even gotten up from a game he was participating in to talk to me and answer questions. I recently began playing MTG: Commander and have barely played much but when we came in Matt actually sat down and played with us. if I'm looking for something specific and they don't have it in-shop, they are happy to order it for me. They recently moved and are still working on arranging the store but the new space is much better and much better lit. They have at least one shop cat. I'm not a cat person myself, but the cat has never been an issue. I also enjoy that when other customers are in the store there is a general friendly environment from them as well, even while participating in events. i can't wait to see the store once everything is fully together! I'd call Gamers Loot more of a neighborhood, friendly type store rather than one of those chain box gaming stores. Show less

Read previous reviews and am in agreement with many. I’m glad they’re trying to build a community here and have more space to do so but please clean up a bit? It’s really off putting to walk into dirty floors, boxes everywhere, disorganization, and just icky feeling. Seemed like they didn’t have so... Read more

It’s really off putting to walk into dirty floors, boxes everywhere, disorganization, and just icky feeling. Seemed like they didn’t have some of the basics for DND even. We at least were greeted when we came in. I hope the owner is feeling better than that after the busy holiday season they can get more time towards cleaning and organizing and making the store more presentable. Show less
