Great shop with great staff. Love to play a game of 40k there and at some point I will definitely go play mtg there too. They stock a lot of different games and accessories and have a great loyalty programme.

I visited Gamers World in Dublin last night for the FNM Commander event. The staff were absolutely fantastic, super friendly and helpful, creating a really welcoming atmosphere. The community was great too, which made the event even more enjoyable. That said, the store was extremely hot. I looked around and everyone was visibly sweating and clearly uncomfortable. It was hard to fully enjoy the evening with that level of heat, especially during a long event like FNM Commander. I really hope they can improve the ventilation or consider installing some air conditioning, it would make a huge difference for the overall experience. All in all, it’s a great place to play Magic and other games, but the heat issue definitely needs urgent attention. Show less

A large rotation of table top board games with warm service and a space for TCG players. Certainly my go to for TTRPG and party board games in Dublin!

I wanted to participate in Star Wars Unlimited Secrets of Power Pre-release event. On Facebook the event was scheduled for Tuesday, November 4th. I travelled from Dundalk to learn that the event was actually held the day before. I showed the incorrect date of the event on my Facebook app to the assistants, they acknowledged it, said the event was held on Monday, that I shouldn't worry because only two people had come. They also told me I could still buy the pre-release kit. I probably would have, had they not mentioned it. Instead I said I had come all thay way to play... I'm very disappointed, because I was very looking forward to participating in the event. Show less

Great place if you’re local and looking for a place to play with others and have a card/board game community. However, if you’re looking for a place to purchase board games this not the place. SUPER limited collection and not great options or prices.

Great place to go if you are a miniatures fan. Sadly the staff isn't great, except for a guy called Marc/Matt that really helped me with some Sigmar models and we talked a lot about wargames

I've been coming to and from Gamersworld for the better part for over a decade now, and tbh I think I'm mostly done unless im very close by. The staff are just.....well just not very caring at all about the people who shop or play here. when I first started playing mtg here in 2014 it was almost magical, the staff really cared and were so helpful and understanding, these days you barely get a look in at the counter, left waiting ages to be served and when you are you almost feel like an inconvenience on the people working here. Half the time stock is piling up on the play tables awkwardly making getting a seat a chore, and the selection for mtg hasn't been great ina long time especially for things like playboxes or sleeves, or stuff like Gamegenic products. I get its hard to run an LGS but all I want is the place I fell in love with years ago to thrive, it almost feels like the shops in a zombie state from what it once was. The interior is certainly better than it used to be, was a great idea to light the place up more and knock that old wall down that seperated the back a few years back but.......I'd rather that old dungeon feel to the shop and be served by people who care than be treated the way I have been the last few times I've visited you know? I've sorta moved onto another LGS that I feel a lot more respected by. I'll keep popping in when I can but if I keep being treated as unwnted, those visits will become few and far between, I really want to support the very fewe LGS' ireland has left but its hard when the quality has declined so much from Gamersworld. Whilst I understand the majority of people do not like their career choices that does not mean you should be taking it out on customers with snarky remarks and gestures. I have been a customer of this store since 2021, and unfortunately the experience has changed a lot in the last year. The change of staff has been shocking. The previous team was always friendly and helpful, but now it feels like you are disturbing them just by being there. Two days ago I had to wait more than a minute to be attended while the guy at the counter was literally ignoring us and watching videos on his phone. When we finally asked for what we wanted and even when paying, he was very rude and spoke to us in a bad manner. Another problem is the situation with Riftbound. They seem to sell almost all the stock to one single person, leaving other customers without any chance to buy it. I check their socials every single day to see if there is a restock, because obviously it’s impossible for people to pass by the store every day to check. Even after two weeks of asking online, I never received any update. I pass by the shop very often and there is never any stock. And of course, the one day I didn’t pass during opening hours (last Saturday), I found a lot of Riftbound packages thrown on the ground outside on Jervis Street. The shop is also very dirty, with games lying on the floor, everything disorganised, and on top of that it smells very bad. It genuinely feels like some people there don’t shower. Overall, the quality has dropped dramatically and it is very disappointing for long-time customers like me. Show less

If you are looking to buy board games, play 40k, or play magic, this store is pretty alright. But as a PokemonTCG player and recently a Riftbound player, the attitude of this store towards players has been quite negative, showing zero respect to both them as well as the products A massive complaint I've had recently had to do with who I believe is the manager of the store, who seems to not care about "pack limits." Various times, I have witnessed him sell PokemonTCG products with seller limits to customers who are known to have purchased the product already, who were brought up by other staff members. But this new manager did not seem to care, which was frustrating to see and can imagine is quite dismissive for the other employees Yesterday however was quite a shocker for me. I went in looking for Riftbound packs, and when I asked the same manager if they had any packs available he mentioned that there was a "supply issue." In reality, he ADMITTED to selling six booster boxes to an individual customer and said that if I wanted to get packs, to just wait for him to come into the store. This is completely ridiculous and is a hypocritical to the store's general rule of "no reselling inside the store." It's disrespectful to new players who are wanting to try the game out who are unable to find these new packs. I have already reported this store to Riot Games because this is completely unacceptable for a newly released game. Coming here semi regularly over the past year have made me aware about the pain points in this store. Unfortunately, it is the only accessible store for me to attend TCG events due to timetabling issues and distance. However, if there was a better store to attend events at, I would be taking my business elsewhere. It does pain me trying to be part of an awesome TCG community while having terrible management ruin the joy of new releases consistently Show less

But when I asked when they would be available, she replied that she didn’t know and that she was “busy.” Excuse me? As an employee, the least you can do is have basic knowledge about your own products and treat customers with respect. What makes this even worse is that a few days earlier I had asked if reservations were possible, and I was clearly told that reservations were not allowed. Then yesterday, when I tried to buy one, the same blonde girl told me that all of them were “reserved” and that she couldn’t sell me one. So which is it? Either reservations are allowed or they’re not. The customer service in this store has gone downhill in recent months. The attitude is dismissive, inconsistent, and unprofessional. Being polite and honest with customers should be the bare minimum. Show less

I declined as it's not my place to be searching a store room. I came back to the store 30 minutes later and had seen several empty boxes on the table from the illustration boxes. When I asked staff if they were on the system yet or if it's worth waiting any longer, I was frowned at by the girl working there and told they are very busy. It's hard to understand how the product was in store and not available to purchase on release day. As a result they are all sold out now unfortunately and I won't get a chance to get one. That same day I had asked to buy packs, was informed about the limit which I said is fair enough. However a woman in front of me had bought two deck boxes of a different TCG and when staff told her it was one per customer limit, they then turned around and said no it's fine you can take two. It was a real kick in the teeth as I had just previously been told about the store limits and nothing they could do. People say support your local card shops but this one makes it extremely difficult. Show less

I have been treated by some members of your staff as a regular customer at your LGS. Unfortunately, while this was not the first incident, what occurred yesterday was the final straw. I understand that due to limited stock over the Christmas period, your policy does not allow the sale of a full One Piece booster box except to players. I fully respect and understand the intention to prioritise your player community. However, I am aware that last week staff sold a full box to someone who does not play the game, and this is a person I personally know. The very next day, one of my mates attempted to purchase a box and was refused. Due to this inconsistency, I did not even attempt to buy a box myself. I am more than happy to comply with the 5-pack purchase limit and have consistently done so every time I visit Gamer’s World. I have no issue with this rule. However, I would like to point out that the approach and attitude of some staff members towards customers is not acceptable. While not all staff behave this way, those who witness such behaviour and tolerate it are equally responsible. To provide specific examples: On Tuesday 13th January, between 8:30–9:00pm, I purchased 5 packs of OP14. The following night, Wednesday 14th January, at around the same time, I returned after a long and stressful day at work hoping to purchase another 5 packs of OP14. I was told by a staff member that I could not purchase OP14 as I had already bought 5 packs the previous night. I accepted this without issue, and she allowed me to purchase 5 packs of OP08 instead. This decision made little sense, especially considering that the previous week, two staff members had allowed me to purchase more than 6 packs of OP07 (which I declined). Yesterday morning, around 11:00am, I returned with my wife on the release day of the new set. We were simply hoping to purchase 5 packs of OP14 to open at home after grocery shopping. When it was my turn, I asked politely if I could buy 5 packs of OP14. The staff member wearing a beanie immediately told me, “No, you can’t—you already bought yesterday.” This accusation was made in front of other customers and was completely untrue. I informed him that I was not there the day before and had been at home resting. He claimed that CCTV footage would prove it but refused to check it, stating he did not have time to review 24 hours of footage. I offered that he could confirm with my wife, who was standing beside me, but he refused and insisted that he “remembered” me. At this point, I felt publicly accused of dishonesty without any proof. The interaction left me feeling disrespected and unfairly targeted. While I did not say this at the time, the manner in which I was treated made me question whether racial bias played a role. I wouldn’t reason out if the accusation is true, but they wont even give an effort to show proof Show less

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience at your store. I have been a regular customer for over two years and have consistently purchased TCG packs from your shop. Until now, I have always felt welcome, and the staff members I interacted with in the past were friendly and professional. This is why my experience yesterday was especially upsetting. When I visited the store, I intended to purchase the new One Piece illustration boxes. The employee assisting me—a blonde female staff member whose name I do not know—accused me of already having purchased one, which was not true. After I explained this to her, she rolled her eyes at me. Later, when I asked if I could buy a double pack from the new One Piece set, she exchanged looks with her coworker and shook her head in a disapproving manner. I remained polite and respectful throughout the interaction and could not understand the reason for this attitude. Fortunately, her coworker handled the situation more professionally, for which I am grateful. This incident left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I have decided that I will no longer visit the store. I felt it was important to bring this to your attention, as it is very different from the positive experiences I have had at your shop in the past. Show less

When it was my turn, the staff told me there was a limit of 5 packs per customer, which felt very unfair and inconsistent. To make things worse, last week I was overcharged by €5, and the issue was not handled properly. I expect fair treatment for all customers and more transparency with pricing and purchase limits. This experience has been very disappointing. PD: I am also a gamer, but due to work reasons I couldn’t attend the event yesterday. Even so, I was treated with lower priority. If the limit is 5 units, that rule should apply to everyone equally, not allow some people to skip that restriction. Show less
