I came in to check out this store. Really awesome space to game. Looking forward to booking a room sometime. I’d come here more often unfortunately it’s a long drive for me. There’s a large warhammer room many private rooms, and a nice large room for boardgames.

Took a chance during a trip on checking out this very charming store. They have quite reasonable prices and great stock along with unexpected clearance and discounts. Will gladly come again!

Love this place. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good selection of games and tea, and lots of rooms for private games. I would have taken pictures of the place, but got distracted by one of the store's mascot Mr. President!

Stopped in to play Commander but was really turned off by the cover charge to play. I have never been to a LGS that charges you to play cards with other people. I understand renting rooms and board games, but I find it offensive to charge a cover for the privilege of sitting at a table with other people for Commander or FNM, playing with our own cards, and spending money at the store on cards and accessories and snacks. This hobby is expensive enough. Seems like a cool store, I'd like to shop here but I don't see when I would get the chance if not when playing cards. Show less

Speaking as someone who has been playing tabletop games for over 30 years, Geeky Teas is by far one of the greatest "friendly local game stores" in the world. Unrivaled gaming areas and good inventory. Knowledgeable staff and welcoming atmosphere.

This was really a magical place that I'm so glad to have stumbled upon during my search for the latest "Magic: The Gathering" release. Well before entering, it's clear that you're about to be among friends. Welcomed by a life size TARDIS outside the main doors, I was already grinning before I stepped inside. But the real show starts once you walk in, and only gets better as you continue to explore the building. I understand they're moving soon, to a larger building, so if you want to experience what I did, make your way there soon! Once you enter, you're greeted on your left by the friendly staff behind the counter, eager to inform and aid the stream of gamers coming and going. On your right, several windows give view to a room made out to look like a medieval dungeon; the perfect spot to pray for Nat 20s as you adventure through the forgotten realms. Continuing through, a lively noise begins to pick up as you realize how many excited gamers have come to play. Countless tables, filled with all sorts of different games, are occupied by exuberant gamers, surrounded by walls painted with fanciful murals, and decorated with a host of medieval swords and shields. Adding to the aesthetic are a host of fun obscure items, ranging from small tables arranged with gaming materials, to a life-size Dalek positioned in the center of the first floor. "This place is great!", I commented to a man selling me a booster pack, "I love all the gaming rooms!" "Thanks!", he replied, "Did you see the one in the back?" My eyes widened. There was more to behold?!? True to his word, the gentleman pointed me down a hallway, where even more gamers played the hours away in a comfortable, inviting store that I can't wait to return to. If you pay the $5 fee you can go into a separate area to play whatever games are stocked on the shelves, and there are plenty! A captivating labyrinth of a local game store easy to get lost in (either physically or track of time). Even with 2 full days here I felt like there was PLENTY more to explore in store.

Wow, this is such a cool place. I am not a gamer, but I can appreciate gaming and all of its nuances, and this is a very special space---it's affordable. It's accessible. There is tons of parking. The vibes are good--this is the type of place that keeps vulnerable people safe. My husband and I organized a day of gaming and a dinner for our good friend's birthday; he and his wife are avid gamers. We drove up from Orange County and we are really glad that we were able to spend quality time here. It's such a cool and welcoming store, the staff were all so kind and sweet and helpful, and the game rooms are fantastic. I really think that anyone who wants to game should check it out. Five dollars gets anyone daylong access to a huge library of games, and I love the theme rooms. I don't think I got to see all of them, but from what I did see, there was something really cute and Bridgerton themed, a cat room, a Disney room, a giant and super awesome Battletech/Warhammer space, and several others. We were a foursome, and we did not have a reservation, but that was OK, because one of the staff were able to find us room at a communal table. We spent several hours playing a variety of games, and then left to go get some dinner at Porto's nearby, and then we came back until 10:30 PM. We were surprised and delighted that our table was reserved with a sign. Over the course of many hours, we bought snacks, candles, tea, and ended up purchasing a couple of games. We loved seeing Mr. President wander around, and the closed off/private area for kitties waiting to be adopted was super precious. We saw folks from all backgrounds here, enjoying themselves. I don't believe the owners were there that day. But, they have done a marvelous job at creating an amazing place. It was gorgeous. It was clean, it was inclusive. We look forward to coming back, we hope that maybe there are plans for a coffee shop or café or something next door. Show less
