Hammerhead is a mixed bag for mtg players. First the good stuff, awesome play space and a great collection of cards. Seriously, looking through their case is an experience on its own. Moving on, every time I go in there I feel like I’m bothering the staff. They’ll say welcome in and look down at whatever they’re doing. Most other shops I’ve been to I feel like as a customer there I’m the top priority; here it’s like they’re waiting for everyone else to take the customer before they have to. It seems like they dread pulling cards or helping people. Speaking of cards- the $1 minimum on each card is stiff. Even for commons and uncommons. Also they’re preferred way of receiving lists is by color and they expect you to do that work; the easiest way is to send them a list via discord which is a godsend; but they don’t like pulling cards so I’ve seen people go days without a response (oh we’re super busy today). If you don’t pull lists and don’t help people when they come in why have a brick and mortar is all I’m saying. They’re nice enough but this won’t be the first store I visit anymore. Show less

Hammerhead is a mixed bag for mtg players. First the good stuff, awesome play space and a great collection of cards. Seriously, looking through their case is an experience on its own. Moving on, every time I go in there I feel like I’m bothering the staff. They’ll say welcome in and look down at whatever they’re doing. Most other shops I’ve been to I feel like as a customer there I’m the top priority; here it’s like they’re waiting for everyone else to take the customer before they have to. I'm still a newbie to MTG. This is probably the cleanest, most organized card shop I've been to. The employees were nice, welcoming, and very knowlegable. Everything was organized and easy to look over. There were plenty of tables for ongoing in-person matches, too. They had a nice selection of supplies for purchase for MTG and D&D. The person who helped me out even gave a cool recommendation for a MTG PreCon to try out. Decent pricing. Show less

Everything was organized and easy to look over. There were plenty of tables for ongoing in-person matches, too. They had a nice selection of supplies for purchase for MTG and D&D. Probably one of the coolest little board game shops I've been to bathrooms were immaculate and they're doing a nice thing for the people that need it with a little food pantry. All in all great little shop. Amazing prices! Lots of fun things like Warhammer amongst other things lots of great magic the gathering cards they even have the paint for your figures. Just a really good shop. You should stop by whenever you get a chance also the funniest little no slip sign I have ever seen in my life Show less

That staff said “That’s a target game, we don’t sell that here” as if they never sold it before? But other than that, the other person was really helpful and led us to another place that did sell what he was looking for. Show less

That staff said “That’s a target game, we don’t sell that here” as if they never sold it before?
