Can be super loud and packed if you're visiting on a Saturday or something and looking to relax. It's still a local coffee shop if you don't wanna support garbage franchise. Cute place with coffee tea pastries and games, no outdoor area, refreshing to have a nice little place off of the ugly generic... Read more

Today was my first experience after being recommended this because I am a coffee addict and I love to support local. That being said my order was made wrong and when I pointed it out instead of an apology and a “hey let me remake that for you so that I can be guaranteed there was 3 shots of espresso... Read more

Today was my first experience after being recommended this because I am a coffee addict and I love to support local. That being said my order was made wrong and when I pointed it out instead of an apology and a “hey let me remake that for you so that I can be guaranteed there was 3 shots of espresso in it. [ 2 that it comes with and 1 I paid extra for] especially since they put it in their smallest cup [ I ordered a venti] which usually only had 1 shot of expresso, the barista just dumps my drink into a larger cup and froths more milk but not long enough because my coffee was cold and it tasted like milk and not coffee… I’m hoping she was just new and I will give them 1 more try but I was extremely disappointed in my quality of service. OMG! I stumbled upon Hitherto as I was driving across the country from MN to NC and this was my stop off point for the night. Did I luck out! I always look for the local coffee joint and being the owner of a place called The Geek Boutique, I HAD to go to this nerd haven of games and coffee. The vibe, organization and setup is so much fun! Their coffee is perfect! I had the eggnog latte and toasted pecan latte. Obsessed with their Sal De Mer Chocolate Chip Cookies. So much, I now plan my gas up stops while driving back and forth from the east coast base on this coffee shop and exit! Also bought their Owlbear coffee to bring home. 😀 Show less

The drink I got was very tasty, the service was very good, and the atmosphere is nice. My only complaint about the atmosphere is I wish there was some more standing room for the area where you wait for the drinks. It’s a bit of a bottleneck, but it’s a minimal issue. The drink I got was very tasty, the service was very good, and the atmosphere is nice.
