This is the place where the Coffe Store is with the most favorite boardgame in Toronto. Because the place gives me a lot of great experiences. The first is the space decorated with lovely colors, quite chill Vibe, there are many impressive models of Lego or Bearbrick along with a large area if you want to join friends to come here to play games. The second is a rich diverse menu not only for ordinary Coffee or Drinks but also selling Asian snacks that are easy to eat and delicious. The last most attractive thing is the game genre that the shop owns as well as Ohis Chie Game each extremely cheap $5/two hours for each person. This game price brings an attractive experience for your association or the first dating will leave a good impression on others. Finally this is a great place you should come if you are an interested in boardgame at least once if you are in Toronro Show less

3 months agoFood was surprisingly delicious for a board's game cafe. Staff was great, no issues. Plenty of games available. The atmosphere was minimalistic and bright. All in all we had a night, we will be back. Only minus that if you order a combo deal, the whole table has to commit to it too. Why?

There was a summer promo when we went: $5 each person for 2 hours of gameplay, then $4 for each additional hour (starting at 15min past the 2nd hour) - a much better deal than some other boardgame cafes we looked into. Of course, we got a drink each anyway that was on average $6 - 8. Servers were highly helpful when we asked for water or napkins, or even when we pointed out the indoor fans were too strong. Game selection was also decent, with plenty of seating options. Show less

Bruh why’s the rating so high and who are giving these good reviews 🤨🤨. Yall I got sm to say and sm complaints, brutally honest, I’m not exaggerating although it might sound quite extreme: -we all ordered curry, 3/4 were curry chicken katsu, 1/4 was onion ring curry w a brown sugar boba. The food was COLD, like normally you’d think katsu, a dish being fried would come w like hot steam, but nuh uh quite the opposite, it was not even room temperature or like lukewarm (we ate it right after it was served and after we took a pic), the curry’s heat was also uneven, and the RICE was so fricken cold, to the point my friend started to wear a jacket, like ain’t food supposed to warm and energize you? Apparently not… I also stared into the kitchen while checking out which took quite a while cuz we split, and em why was there no chefs in the kitchen? Neither was there was like food on those tables? I’m rlly suspecting they were microwaving the food, cuz it was COLD for ALL 4 of us, not some coincidence. Also avoid those peppers at all cost, IT IS SO DAMN SALTY WTH IDK HOW MUCH SALT THEY ADDED TO THE PEPPER I ALMOST CHOCKED NOT EXAGGERATING BTW. Also if it rlly is microwaved like AT LEAST the heat could be A LIL less uneven alright?? Like why’s one area cold and the other cool whatnot… THE PLATE THAT THEY GAVE US WAS ALSO COLD BRUHHHH, like the way they handed it to us and the way it looked we thought it be boiling hot or smt… One person in our group ordered the brown sugar boba as mentioned before, and she didn’t finish like even 1/3 of it, and the table beside us finished but they left all the tapioca balls whatnot sitting in the glass, like ALL, so idk what happened there, ig that’s why for the lunch combo adding a drink was only $3? And that they only give you specific choices of drinks, LIKE THIS ONE hmmmm (P4) -they “accidentally”🤨🤨charged us for $10, I don’t know the rules cuz I don’t rlly go to board game cafes a lot, but what the helly, apparently you each gotta pay $5 to play for 2h and they’d charge you extra if you happened to pass 2h, so we rushed out, but glad they changed it in the end (smh this $5 thing is a discount on their tables?? Bruh they tryna rob or what, cuz for me I was expecting oh board game cafe, so as long as we order we can play games, I didn’t know that we’d be charged EXTRA js to play the board games?? Until we physically sat down and the staff started explaining to us… Like ain’t it supposed to come w it?? And another option was $35 or $36 combo w free games or smt I don’t remember we didn’t choose that combo, but EVERYONE in the group would have to choose that combo in order for the free games or whatever to happen?? Idk js seems weird to me) -these games are NOT in good condition, and quite a lot of games are like NOT child friendly, DO YOU SEE THE MOLD ON THOSE CARD GAMES??? And the rules of the games are like a booklet and the pages are ripped and some look very old that colors have faded or have a weird smell (P5) -DO YOU SEE THE DUST AND THE HAIR IN THE WASHROOMS, and they smell sb and quite wet… (P6-7) -why did the staff take my plate while the spoon was in my mouth mid eating 😭, and that perfectly unused tissue… like he could have asked if we were still eating and if we want him to take it or not… like in the other cafes/restaurants… But in general and js to wrap it up, DONT come here, like save your time energy and money, it’s a cute cafe if you wanna take pics and all that, the food LOOKS aesthetic (P1-3), so does the menu, but don’t get tricked like us my friend 😔, go somewhere else cuz the food and the board game selection is poor and the board games are also in VERY poor conditions (we ended up going w guess who, cards and Jenga I can’t spell, which welp we didn’t rlly need to play at a BOARD GAME cafe, cuz it’s not a board game…)Also we know it’s a place for friends to hangout, but the group beside us shouted every three seconds or so and we legit jumped, we couldn’t hear each other, even tho we are sitting in the same table… and quite close to each other (across/beside)… Show less

this is the best kept secret recently available as of Dec 15th. For anyone who can make a walk to this café; it's definitely worth the detour just for the bento deals alone. $10 lunch!!! Fine - if you really need more reasons.... On the first visit - I asked for recommendations and the person suggested grilled pork chop with vermicelli and then I wanted to try the roasted pork with rice (also recommended). If all you ever try is either the pork chops or roasted pork - you will never be satisfied until you can get it again. I've been salivating when I can come back and order these two options again. The fact that the bento looks exactly like the photo and so well presented just makes me hunger for it more. Portion wise - you get a bit more rice than vermicelli due to how noodles sit in a rigid form but both are cooked well, fresh, and warm. It's a hot vermicelli dish instead of a cold one. The rice is light and fluffy, nothing dry, nothing old. The pickled red onions and carrots+daikon are perfectly balanced with the fish sauce. I appreciated the extra lettuce and tomatoes but just a suggestion to maybe forgo the lettuce or put it on the side/perimeter as the bento box is so freshly prepped that it cooks the lettuce if left sitting for too long; but really it's just a garnish so can't fault them on this. Between the pork chop and roasted pork, you must try both; no questions, but if you like something a bit more flavour/seasoned, then go with the roasted pork first and come back for the others later. On the second visit I was curious how the popcorn chicken would be offered in a Vietnamese cuisine way but it's more of a safe/standard offering with a mayo-sriracha-like dipping sauce. If I'm not mistaken, they're giving both dark and white chicken pieces which is just even more incredible value (see for yourself) The shaken beef is something you must also try. It triggered childhood memories of a nanny of mine who made a similar dish and I can't be happier knowing the chefs are truly putting love and essence of home comfort in these boxes. I'll definitely come back to try the rest of the lunch menu and I encourage you to try these lunch bento as soon as you can as they have limited offerings each day. Service was prompt, and the kind staff even called me back to help take a pick up order as they were probably busy running the rest of the café. Show less

It’s a nice café that serves latte, desserts, ice cream, and a few vegetarian meal options—which is great to have. We had an amazing time! Just 4 girls who don’t know any games, but we still had so much fun. The place is clean, the ambience is awesome, and it has a cool, vibrant vibe. We were four girls, and we had a blast. during Winters it’s a great spot to meet, greet and hang out. We got a cake from outside and we had it cut for extra charge with their permission. Show less

This was my first time here and I came specifically for the Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Vietnamese Bento by Nom Nom for $10. It was very delicious and looked really beautiful. I loved the colours and presentation so much! The grilled chicken was tender and juicy and all the veggies and rice were delicious. I felt like a had a really balanced, healthy meal. I could eat like this every day! My server was friendly and gave fast service. The place was surprisingly empty for 12 noon lunch time on a Wednesday. It’s a beautiful, large space mainly for playing board games. And you have to go upstairs to second floor and then to the back area to order. My only complaint was the bento deals are for takeout only. But I’m coming back for sure! Show less

This is a hidden gem of Toronto!!! I’m actually so surprise with the quality and variety of food options that pair with very good atmosphere and entertainment. Honestly a perfect spot for group of friends to hangout laughs play some games and eat really good and mind I add extremely reasonable priced food. Tho I have to say there are limited numbers of board games options as other comment have mentioned, it is still a good opportunity to learn some new games in such an intimate environment. We saw some students using the space to study and the truth is, absolutely great place to study/work also if you love the background noise or you come weekdays that there are not as much of traffic. The staff are super nice and they make sure to provide incentives such as spin the wheel to get you visit again. We won free meals for next visit so we definitely will come back again! 10/10 highly recommended to couple, friends or meet-up groups to use this awesome space to social! Lowkey glad it’s hidden because similar businesses have becoming way too crowded, this is still a very good place for weekday night fun! Show less
