Showed up at 11:40 pm because it was recommended and was excited to go. Said hello to the bartender when I walked in, who saw me ignored me, and walked away from me to talk to someone else. Kimis is a great new addition to the myriad of bars that littler the west side neighborhood but it also follows the same leads as a lot of the other bars overpriced drinks,really loud music to the point of not being able to hear yourself think let alone the person across from you and early 00s hipster(in their mid 30s) bartenders that give off the energy of " I am to cool to be here". The venue it's self it's unique and open but nicely dim light the bar menu is nothing to right home about and wildly overcharging but I can say the mix drink taste good enough for me to keep coming back for multiple house margs. None of this was communicated from either staff, menu, or signage & after the hostile reception from the bartender didn't care to find out. My favorite part of their drink menu is their cocktails, but they have a great beer selection and decent wine selection as well. Prices are very affordable, and the service has always been great. Most times I’ve gone it’s been a chill spot, not too crowded with good music. This past weekend I went and it was packed. We figured we came during an event, and turns out it was Kimi’s birthday! Even got a slice of birthday cake on the house, and had a great time even though we felt a bit like party crashers. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly, though, and I’m looking forward to coming back again! Show less
