We were looking to add to our game collection and, on a whim, stopped in at Labyrinth Games & Puzzles. Wow. The collection of games and puzzles in their store was quite impressive! The staff is super friendly and helpful. We talked to a staff member who was highly knowledgeable and recommended a few games based on what we were looking for. We ended up buying both of his recommendations and have no regrets about our purchase. Show less

We were looking to add to our game collection and, on a whim, stopped in at Labyrinth Games & Puzzles. Wow. The collection of games and puzzles in their store was quite impressive! The staff is super friendly and helpful. We talked to a staff member who was highly knowledgeable and recommended a few games based on what we were looking for. Amazing store that has a bunch of different board games. They also have a section for children's game. But, a cool thing about this place is that they let you try out some of the games before you buy them. Also, its only one block away from the Eastern Market metro stop, so very accessible via publ... This is place is a diamond for those who love boardgames, card games and Rpgs. I live in NC and travel to DC regularly, we have our own similar stores down in NC but this store just "feels" different in a better way. I only give this 4 stars because it can feel a little crampt when you are shopping, but on every other aspect this place is 5 stars all day long. Staff is amazing, selection is plentiful and wonderfully organized (which is crazy most other stores i have been to do not do this.) Even the owner has come out and been engaged with me as a customer. If you find yourself Anywhere in DC lookthis place up, and go there. EXTREME BONUS POINTS: its basically right beside the metro. Traffic is no excuse ;) Show less

This is place is a diamond for those who love boardgames, card games and Rpgs. I live in NC and travel to DC regularly, we have our own similar stores down in NC but this store just "feels" different in a better way. I only give this 4 stars because it can feel a little crampt when you are shopping, but on every other aspect this place is 5 stars all day long. Staff is amazing, selection is plentiful and wonderfully organized (which is crazy most other stores i have been to do not do this.) I visited DC from Canada and was taken here for a quick stop to pick up some Pokemon cards and HOLY if you are a nerd like me this will be your new favourite store! They have everything from dnd, Pokemon, legos, board games, and most importantly the most friendliest staff☺️ They were super sweet and you can talk to them about any of your interests (for me it was Pokemon) and they will have such helpful info and options to choose from that I don’t have back in Canada! Not to mention the prices are great they are super reasonable. They also have events like a board game night Pokemon AND DND event! They most likely have more but that’s what I got to see in the store! They were also kind enough to give me the last sticker pack for free! It’s super cute and can’t wait to put it on my binder!!! 100/10 rating from Canada! I will be travelling back here with an empty suitcase next time!! Thank you so much!! 💐☺️ Show less

I visited DC from Canada and was taken here for a quick stop to pick up some Pokemon cards and HOLY if you are a nerd like me this will be your new favourite store! They have everything from dnd, Pokemon, legos, board games, and most importantly the most friendliest staff☺️ They were super sweet and you can talk to them about any of your interests (for me it was Pokemon) and they will have such helpful info and options to choose from that I don’t have back in Canada! As someone who is new to board games but really invested and finds great enjoyment, I’d hoped that the game store in my neighborhood would be inviting and fun. Unfortunately I have found Labyrinth to be staffed by bigots. My fiancée and I have been made to feel so unwelcome each time we visited. We are followed around, not because we have questions but because we are Black. We’ve been on three occasions and each time the store has been filled and yet one staff member insists on following us around the small and crowded store to interject into our conversations, give unsolicited advice, and interrupt our browsing. I’ve never been to a store where the staff were so attentive to only one party. I tried to assume something other than prejudice but after three visits with the same playbook I think k the verdict is clear. Show less

I want to love this place, as it's the only place in the DMV where you can rumage for MTG uncommons/rares to bulk out decks and discover new concepts, but there's often nowhere to actually do it, and the staff act like you're a major inconvenience, even when you're making other purchases along with the uncommons/rares. This is a shame because it otherwise has the average selection of MTG, Pokemon & accessories at priced at online market levels. Normally the chance to rummage and randomly encounter unfamiliar cards is what brings me into a shop like this, but over the past few months the emphasis appears to have shifted to online orders and events. Wish they would do more to preserve the magic of shopping for and discovering MTG in person. Otherwise, why am I going to a store anymore instead of online? Show less

I have always been an avid fan of Labyrinth, but this weekend they fully turned me into a customer for life. Like so many others in the DMV and across the country, I'm a federal employee trying to navigate the current government shutdown, and my colleagues and I have been puzzling during breaks in the workday to keep ourselves sane. I reached out to Labyrinth to see if they offered any discounts on puzzles so we could stock up, and instead they offered me a HUGE pile of puzzles that have been donated ahead of a puzzle swap in January. I almost teared up when a Labyrinth employee brought out the massive stack. Huge shout-out to Melissa from Labyrinth for helping me out. Labyrinth team—I cannot even begin to tell you how much this kind gesture means to me (and my colleagues).
