Pretty sweet bar! Look for the bottles along the low windows as you walk down the side walk. They have a long beer list with seven ciders in bottles and cans. The TL/DR is this is a grungy bar to hang out with friends in a very casual setting, but I wouldn’t recommend it for teambuilding events due to them not being set up to handle large groups (with the dishes, coming out at one time or prepayment). The TL/DR is this is a grungy bar to hang out with friends in a very casual setting, but I wouldn’t recommend it for teambuilding events due to them not being set up to handle large groups (with the dishes, coming out at one time or prepayment). I’m being generous with my rating due to maybe they’re being a misunderstanding of services and expectations. Longer explanation: The food was very good for the price – some of my colleagues got the salmon which looked incredible. I don’t recommend the burger or spinach artichoke dip for those who frequent those dishes like myself. We had a fairly large party (13), which it seemed like they weren’t prepared to accommodate, but they did their best having dishes come out three at a time to not overwhelm the kitchen, I assume. The manager came over and said hello to me when I arrived, which was nice, until I realized it was to inform me that they were not able to take payment over the phone. My dinner was approved to be covered by a different business unit which was disappointing to hear (and something I never thought about having to ask due to not having an issue before). Everyone in FOH was friendly. One of my colleagues did have to go over to the bar to ask for a cocktail and water refill. My assumption is that they just don’t know what I handle large parties and they didn’t plan accordingly for BOH or FOH. I do appreciate them fitting us in for a 16 top for an early dinner on a Monday the week prior! So their flexibility is great, food has good value, but organization could use some work. Show less

First time in today, we went downstairs to sit at the bar at around 6:35 because the upstairs was full. As we were all taking our seats my boyfriend is about to sit down and a woman named Jess literally pulls the chair away from him and tells us “we pull all chairs at 7pm.” I said “It’s 6:40…” She proceeds to tell my boyfriend he can stand because he has “sturdy legs”… what. Then proceeds to tell us we have to pick the chairs up and put them away when we’re done. At that point (thank god) the bartender tells her “they’re customers they’re not here to work.” The vibe was completely ruined. I do appreciate the bar staff who tried to make us feel comfortable after the weird situation. As an industry professional who works in fine dining and high profile bartending that is something that should NEVER happen in front of to a customer. Hopefully nobody else has to experience feeling like an inconvenience to Jess. (The extra star is for the AMAZING bartender in the basement bar who really tried to make us feel wanted in the establishment.) Show less

We had our wedding reception at the Bocce Room at Ormsby’s last Friday. It was phenomenal and everyone kept saying how great the food was and complimenting on how attentive the staffs were. The coconut curry and beef filet tips definitely wowed everyone who came to the event. It was also great that they offer parking validations, the server would come check on you and help you keep the spending within your budget. The space was perfect for my guests (50-60 people). We sat at the bar and experienced great service from a gentleman and a young lady along with a great busman. Very helpful on menu options, both food and drink, and very knowledgeable and friendly. They even acknowledged my birthday! The two bartenders also celebrated their birthdays this week! Anywho… we found a new regular spot. We just had drinks but the food looked and smelled amazing. This restaurant is located in a prime area, surrounded by other establishments like restaurants and shopping centers, making it a convenient and appealing destination. What makes this spot unique is that it's almost underground, while most of the surrounding businesses are at street level. We opted for valet parking, which was reasonably priced, though there’s also a parking garage just a short walk away. Upon entering, the restaurant immediately impressed us with its stylish decor and vibrant atmosphere. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, and the positive energy was contagious. If I were rating the restaurant based solely on its ambiance and customer service, it would be an easy 10/10. Before ordering, I asked the waiter about the food, and his response was, "It's not your grandma's food." Now, my grandma doesn’t cook—I do the cooking in my house—but I immediately understood what he meant. That comment subtly prepared me for what was to come: mediocre food. The menu items we tried were decent but left much to be desired. For instance, the chili cheese fries had delicious cheese, but they needed more seasoning and were served slightly cold. The macaroni and cheese tasted like it came from a box—stiff and lackluster—possibly due to being left out too long or prepared without much care that day. For the price, it just didn’t deliver. The burger was a bit better. I loved the bread and the perfectly melted cheese, but the patty was slightly overcooked, which took away from the overall experience. Despite ordering entirely different meals, my significant other and I shared the same mixed feelings about the food. If I return to this restaurant, it would be for the vibes, the atmosphere, and perhaps to explore other menu items. I’m hoping that the issues we encountered were just an off-day for the kitchen staff. I’ll likely give it another shot in the future, though it’s not at the top of my list. That said, if you haven’t been here before, I’d recommend it for the ambiance, especially if you’re a drinker—the full bar is definitely a highlight.
