Best comic shop in town. Customer service is A-1 and staff is really knowledgeable and attentive. My account had issues ordering on the website and they promptly fixed it after I simply mentioned it to a staff member (I didn't even ask them to fix it but they went through the trouble of helping me anyways). This is a bit of a strange story. I live out of state and recently bought a book online from a certain store. It's a very niche book for a discontinued collection of dolls, and I was thrilled to receive it for Christmas. Last weekend, I was in Atlanta for a concert and decided to visit the store in person. The selection was incredible – everything my geeky heart could want! I seriously considered buying several items but ultimately decided against it. The reason I'm giving it three stars instead of five is that I felt very unwelcome and unwanted. This is just my personal observation, but when I walked in, the people behind the counter looked at me with an expression that seemed to say, "What is she doing here?" No one offered any assistance or even a simple "hello." I just felt like they thought I was lost. Other than that, it's a nice store, but the service was definitely lacking. Show less

This is a bit of a strange story. I live out of state and recently bought a book online from a certain store. It's a very niche book for a discontinued collection of dolls, and I was thrilled to receive it for Christmas. Last weekend, I was in Atlanta for a concert and decided to visit the store in person. The selection was incredible – everything my geeky heart could want! I seriously considered buying several items but ultimately decided against it. The only reason I’m giving a 4 out of 5 and not a five star is because I only found one Todd McFarlane’s Spawn book in the whole shop. (Which may just be because they have a market for it there, I’m not sure). I bought a Dungeons and Dragons starter kit, I’ve been playing DnD Old School essentials for over a year but I’ve been curious to learn 5E. They had a very nice collection of statues and a variety of all types of books and games. I purchased a Ramen Noodles game for my son as that is his favorite thing to eat currently, and I bought a Teen Titans Go book for my daughter (she absolutely loves it). I’m glad my friend suggested stopping here on our way out of town. I’m pretty sure we’re planning on coming back to Atlanta next year, we will definitely pop in again! Thank you!! Show less

The only reason I’m giving a 4 out of 5 and not a five star is because I only found one Todd McFarlane’s Spawn book in the whole shop. (Which may just be because they have a market for it there, I’m not sure). I bought a Dungeons and Dragons starter kit, I’ve been playing DnD Old School essentials for over a year but I’ve been curious to learn 5E. The selection is super large! I’m from out of state, so it was nice to find a large comic book store. They also had a huge manga collection, and a lot of stuff for kids! I got quite a few comics for myself and siblings. The prices were reasonably priced. I do think the staff interaction could’ve been better. Usually, when I go to a comic store, I get greeted/welcomed and have a nice conversation at the checkout or at least get ask if I need any help. I got none of that, no hello, or how are you, etc. Even at check out, I just got told my total. I don’t expect much other than a hello and maybe one check in, but to not even get that felt kinda cold. :( otherwise though, I enjoy my visit I able to just explore and check out their products. I recently bought 3 issues of the new The thing series from Oxford comics I was bummed when no comic shops near me had any and I was hesitant to buy them online at first but Oxford comics is a great shop they are communicative if you have questions and their website is simple and nice and when my package did arrive I was concerned about bents or ugly packaging but once again Oxford comics surpassed my standards my comics were packaged beautiful and arrived in excellent condition I highly recommend Oxford comics 👍 Show less

I recently bought 3 issues of the new The thing series from Oxford comics I was bummed when no comic shops near me had any and I was hesitant to buy them online at first but Oxford comics is a great shop they are communicative if you have questions and their website is simple and nice and when my package did arrive I was concerned about bents or ugly packaging but once again Oxford comics surpassed my standards my comics were packaged beautiful and arrived in excellent condition I highly recommend Oxford comics 👍 Show less

This place is the Mack daddy of ATL comics! lots of comics and graphic novels!!!! I actually am updating this review because the Oxford comics and game staff has 100% gotten better with everything. They greet you, they seem happy to be at their jobs, they’re friendly and more than happy to help you out. The only reason why I’m not giving them five stars is because their back issues are terribly overpriced. a lot of the books are obviously couple years old and have obvious wear and tear on most of the books from being a rifle through for years and they’re still asking more than cover price for most of these books. I believe this is a bona fide Georgia comic institution. I've been flipping through floppies since 2007-2008 or so, give or take a hiatus here and there, and Oxford has just always been one of those names thrown around in the comic community. I should have prefaced this with, my heart belongs to ano... Read more

I believe this is a bona fide Georgia comic institution. I've been flipping through floppies since 2007-2008 or so, give or take a hiatus here and there, and Oxford has just always been one of those names thrown around in the comic community. I should have prefaced this with, my heart belongs to another...I'm loyal to my local comic shop, but that shouldn't stop you from supporting Oxford, especially if they're your local shop. There's a lot to love here. A notch above plenty to curate your own pull list. Plenty of TPB's to get your comic fix in a more digestible form factor. Manga. You know, the backwards stuff. And lots of collectibles sprinkled throughout. I did notice a lot of the figures I looked at were marked up, nothing too grossly over priced, but enough to warrant a price check to see if I can save elsewhere. Business is business, and the competition is fierce out there. I'm glad I finally stopped by. I should have years ago. I mean I used to work at the Jaguar Land Rover dealership 2 minutes down the road for Chrissake. Now I can't dole out any kind of divine blessing, but I do hope this comic shop is around for a good long time, cause gems like this are getting scarce as the years go by. Show less

I've been flipping through floppies since 2007-2008 or so, give or take a hiatus here and there, and Oxford has just always been one of those names thrown around in the comic community. I should have prefaced this with, my heart belongs to another...I'm loyal to my local comic shop, but that shouldn't stop you from supporting Oxford, especially if they're your local shop.
