A friend recommended this place to me for Warhammer stuff while I was in the area temporarily. The store has a good selection of cards, board games, etc. Sad the price for the Warhammer product is MSRP, but they had a good amount of stock. The only reason why I rated this place 2 stars is because this one guy with a face mask irked me real hard. Not sure if he's the owner, staff, or a customer. But he hovered around watching me the entire time I was there. Even pointed things out just because I'm looking at it. It gave the store an unfriendly vibe. If he's reading this: Dude, chill. I just wanted to see the store, since I like places like these. I don't know if something happened in the past where the store got robbed or something. But you made me feel unwelcomed, and I don't want to come back again because of it. Show less

Cards shops like this are despicable.. they give you 50% value and ask you to give 100% doc. Actually a little over 100%. I had four cards for trade. The staff is so kind and helpful and they always make sure we have a space to play and everything we need. Special shout-out to Olivier who's always so friendly and accommodating. Though the player community here is more Magic-focused, the store also has a great selection of board games, D&D miniatures, and dice. I previously left a review about a negative experience with an employee over the phone at PHG. This new update is recent as of 06/27/25 and reflects the kindness and prompt help from the actual owner of Paper Hero Games. Id had a pair of headphones taken during an FnM game the week prior and have been pretty busted up about the whole thing, not because the headphones were neccessarily expensive but because i go to the store to play games, unwind, and have a good time among peers. It sucks when stuff like this happens in what people consider safe spaces, lame terminology, i know. Either way, the owner Fawx reached out to me after the previous review and offered to look back through the cameras and even offered to replace the headphones fully. Even though there wasn't anything on the cameras visible, thats a level of both being a good human being and customer service I can support. Regardless of maybe 1 errant bad player, and one admittedly not so nice employee, my overall experience with PHG is a positive one, and the store does deserve business. The owner spent what i could only assume is several hours looking through video for me. The least you could do is buy a pack of magic cards (maybe more if youre loaded idk). Ive updated this review to 5 stars, despite the loss of property, the quick response to try and make things right by the owner is not something most places would do, even IF they caught someone on camera. I previously left a review about a negative experience with an employee over the phone at PHG. This new update is recent as of 06/27/25 and reflects the kindness and prompt help from the actual owner of Paper Hero Games. I know this shop got an MSRP allotment of Final Fantasy cards and seeing them sell a 69$ commander deck for 120$ just cus they feel like they can is disappointing. Again I want to support local but when I was able to get product on day one for MSRP from Amazon I’m still really only coming here for some dragon shields or dice. Card prices aren’t worth it. Reply to owner: it’s 2025, you use a modern pos system, you can set prices to whatever you want across the board. Your statement about not being able to mix MSRP with “market price” (aka scalper price) feels super disingenuous! Show less

This place was my world fawx glen Andrew Justin cloe and amber where really kind and the store was always a vibe it was so nice to just sit back and relax and play for days end I always loved coming here every day of my life till the end of time untill i finaly realized how toxic and strict the tables can get somtimes i stumbled apon a pod that was quite like it and was told by another player that they wish for my death all because I was new and they did not like how I was lerning and counterd his spell in magic i reported it and they gave him a "warning" and claimed that he was on his final one for this. Personaly I do not think this is a warnable offense and that's whi I pleed to just not return again even tho they made me the player I am today this was a verry unfortunate event that had alredy been setaled but for those of you who are commoners its an amazing place but play at your own risk it tends to be just toxic and unsafe partaly and somtimes the players get to personal and shame you for who you are. And I feel proud of who I am as a person. After this I cried for hours at what had happend. Cause this place truly was my world. But I guess like all good things they must come to an end. I'll truly miss this place. And it even hurt so mutch for me to right this review cause I felt really strong in your work fawx. Good bye and I'll miss you guys. Show less

Accessories are fair priced while trading card products and singles are slightly above market. Seems like theres plenty of table space for games but I did not want to spend any extra time inside the store. lastly, the displays are covered in mats, cards, or employees having a potluck on the counter so dont expect to see anything as there is no visibility. I've been coming here for a few months now originally on a whim leading up to Riftbound's release and I have to say, of the over 10 card shops I visited, this is the one I came back to, not just once but multiple times. I have yet to find a shop this friendly besides one other, especially with some of my oddball item requests. The employees are absolutely wonderful to talk to and interact with as well. I also want to give a special thank you to Amber specifically who has put in some extra effort to help give some items a new home when they may otherwise end up in the trash like other card shops do. You were incredibly helpful with the learn to plays as well and cannot thank you enough for how much effort you've put in. You genuinely made it worth coming back, and I intend to do just that. The TCG world has changed a lot since I last did anything in it, and this shop definitely made it easy to enter back into it. This is my first review I have ever made for a business, but this business has absolutely earned it. Show less
