It's ok, they stock a lot of Warhammer and the price is lower than GW. Card games are available and have a decent selection of boardgames too, unfortunately they don't sell many historical wargames, it's just a few boxes of Bolt Action on a dusty shelf. It has an immense Warhammer stock that is reasonably discounted, usually beyond most third party online stores, and you can request them to order something in at the discounted price if you ask. Very friendly staff who won't hesitate to help organise events or accommodate large groups of players. Food and drink is available for cheap prices and there's no shortage of pleasant people to meet there. Only downside is that the tempting pricing has resulted in me losing a considerable portion of my student loan to my crippling addiction to painting plastic soldiers. Suppose it's marginally better than gambling. Show less

The product selection is good and priced well. However I have avoided visiting this store for years as I always found the manager incredibly unfriendly, so I always chose other FLGSs in the area. Returning after using the Sheffield branch of PG is a true disappointment. He is still very brusque and unwelcoming and does not foster the community feeling that I look for in a hobby store. I was greeted by welcoming staff and a friendly atmosphere. Being pretty anxious about meeting new people, I asked if they could recommend any groups to join in with or just watch, they pointed out a table and the group were amazing. I was greeted by welcoming staff and a friendly atmosphere. Being pretty anxious about meeting new people, I asked if they could recommend any groups to join in with or just watch, they pointed out a table and the group were amazing. Contacted them on their discord and via email, so far no answer. Request the tracking code for the order, no answer. Card was 65 pounds upon order ... Read more

I'm terms of stock, you cannot go wrong at all. As a returning player of Warhammer it was convenient to visit Patriot Games due to it's location. However, as with other reviews; the poor customer service really lets the place down. The guy who I assume is the owner and the woman do nothing but scowl at you. There is a younger lad who works there however who is the complete opposite. He's chatty, knowledgeable and makes you feel welcome. Something you would expect the patron to want to do. I've since gone to Leodis and the Warhammer shop directly. I'd rather pay that little more and have a conversation with someone more interested. Show less
