6 months agoI went for a All-White party on a Saturday and it was grown and sexy. Cool vibes and the DJ was very good. Parking is a challenge but worth the time.

2 years agoReally cool concept. The ability to wear a band and use that to pour your own beer/wine was super convenient. We were there for a surprise party and it has a really great atmosphere for these types of events.

3 years agoThis is a super cool spot. You get to pour your own beer & wine & they charge you by the ounce. They also have tons of games and activities. It is a small space so I'm sure it gets crowded quickly. However, I have been lucky to go on their slower days.

This place has changed DRASTICALLY since it first opened. I hadn't been in a over a year and was disappointed by what it's become. With the old ownership you were greeted with a smile, fun games, working duck pin bowling, great drinks, and clean beer taps that were well serviced, etc. When I went last night it was a totally different vibe, more light a hookah nightclub and we didn't feel welcome. We were patted down extensively by security as if I was at an uptown nightclub on a Saturday night. Worker seemed inconvenienced that we wanted to get wristbands for the beer wall. When I attempted to pour myself a beer the keg was out and foam sprayed out. No big deal. Tried the next beer, same thing. It seemed like we were the only one's in the place using the beer wall. Beer wasn't cold either. Then we went downstairs to try and do some bowling. It was about 8:30pm and it was completely dark down there like it was closed. Someone asked what we needed and eventually turned the lights and the lanes on. They said that we could play for free but couldn't keep the score? Where they used to have a service desk for the games has now been overrun their hookah service. I then tried to get another beer at the lower taps and they still had the caps on them from the night before. Pulled one out and looked very dirty like the lines weren't being serviced/flushed. Then my friend went upstairs and tried 4 different beer taps before finding one that worked and wasn't out or blowing foam. Also on the weekends this place is a complete zoo. The customers block the road by parking on both sides of the side street (Iris), and will drive their cars on the side walk and disc golf course to park. Dangerous when that's a main access road to the large apartment complex behind it. Don't go unless you want a dark hookah bar with lackluster service. It should be called hookah house, not pin house anymore. Show less

We came here for the food truck that was here and grabbed a couple of drinks while we were here. We got the PinHoused & Sour Patch Margarita cocktails. They were ok, but nothing special to me. I'd probably stick to the self pour stuff. I love that they have duckpin bowling, though we didn't play on this visit. They have a really nice outdoor area too. This would be a great place for a happy hour since they have something for everyone. Show less

Second, over half of the self-service taps didn’t even work. Then when I turn in my wristband to close my tab, there’s an automatic 20% gratuity. Why am I paying gratuity for self-service taps? They don’t even tell you that, the cashier tried to close my tab without giving me a receipt. I complained to a manager & he pretty much said that’s just how it is. Please don’t come unless you like greed and poor service. None of these things were issues when Pinhouse had other management. This used to be one of my favorite spots, but I won’t be back unless there are new owners. Show less

First of all, there was one guy basically covering both floors, and he was working hard and super friendly for a first time patron. Explained how everything worked, and then was also checking in with everyone as he worked through the space... excellent customer service! The ability to self pour and try as many different drinks as you want is great, no waiting for a bartender! The games, which range from board games to duck bowling and pinball, all look fun and easy to enjoy. I imagine if it was more crowded, the noise inside could be a bit overwhelming, but there is also a fantastic outdoor space, where they had a DJ and do concerts as well. Will definitely be back, especially for some of the events that they host. One tip, make sure when you scan your wristband, that all the taps are closed, otherwise liquid will start flowing immediately and it will charge you (learned this the hard way) Show less

They allow the parking lot in the back which should be for customers only fir staff... and right in front of the club the weakest link of the venue is a snuggle tooth fake security guy/want to be host/ in everyone section like he's friends and they want him there/ trying to holler at all woman/ valet/ owner wanna be.. He's certainty the down fall for them as is the parking. There is only maybe in front of the club 7 spots to park and 4 to 5 he has held up not including having the handicap spot taken up with a vehicle that has no handicap sticker ever but tells those with one they have to park across the 4 lane main rd so he can pocket money to park there. Make it make sense... He is a deterrent before you even get inside to spend money of which gets him paid.. The owner needs to do better for the customers needs verses the employees when it's us that keep them open and the lights on... I have a good feeling this venue will not last the way they are moving just as I predicted 2 other clubs that has closed down since I made the same statements about. I've been in many venues and promoted them as well in the biggest party cities too know what I'm talking about. If I was going to stay in Charlotte I would be opening one here to show them how it should be ran but I'll be moving my opening to Atlanta. Show less

The only gripe I have is I wish the process of ordering food wasn’t so complex. You basically have to order from the restaurant next door instead inside of Pinhouse. I also didn’t like how I made a reservation for a table online but it was basically ignored. Luckily for me the event I was a part of already had tables for us. Lastly, I’m not really big on the new “section culture” that clubs have become, but I will say that I like how this venue has a designated area where you can dance, converse, and socialize. That made my visit well worth it. Show less
