Attending the weekly mini acoustic concert at Cam is my pick for the best thing to do in Hanoi on a Friday night. Of all the pleasant things, what I love the most about the show are: - Incredible collection of old Vietnamese songs, with lyrics so ethereally beautiful that they make me realize how little I’ve recognized & appreciated the beauty of the Vietnamese language - The singer’s voice, expressive and beautifully controlled, deep and very clear, gliding on top of the soft, gentle piano - Interesting little pieces of story/context behind the songs & artists performed shared in between performances The show has introduced me to so many beautiful old songs, but sadly not easily findable on Spotify/ Youtube & other music apps :(. Even rarer (I’ve found none actually 😢) are singers who perform them with the same simplicity & modern, unembellished style as anh Minh does. These mini shows feel like a cultural heritage to be preserved. As much as I’m enjoying every Friday spent at Cam, I’m already super sad thinking about how I’ll lose access to such beautiful music if one day Cam no longer hosts these shows :( Show less

Nice place to spend time. I like it when someone spontaneously makes music or I find someone to play chess with.

Personally not my type; this one follows a "traditional" style in terms of decoration, menu (only has very basic items), and everything; might be suitable for tourists to have a sense of the traditional vibe, or for lowkey people 😊

very hidden cafe, we almost gave up finding it but I’m glad we didn’t. The space is very wide, quiet and bright, great for working. The drinks are okay but the bathroom situation is really bad in my opinion, there wasn’t even a sink to wash your hands…

Such a hidden gem! We started our first morning in Hanoi at this beautiful café. It was peaceful, calm, and the staff was friendly—everything was great. We had the best time here, enjoying the music and the cozy window seat. Highly recommend it to all café hoppers!

I had the best coconut coffee here, even better than the famous spots in the Old Quarter that everyone talks about. The atmosphere is genuinely lovely: people working, chatting, singing, just enjoying their time. It’s calm, friendly, and beautifully laid-back. Highly recommend.

The front of the building is another cafe by the street but they are not the same. I was greeted by a young girl and she recommend me Lemon(lime) coffee so I just said yes. 40k VND (2025) The menu is made of our old vinyl, so creative and I later found out why. There is a piano, and a couple of customers (I presume) are playing the music, with guitar as well. The room has really high ceiling, the space is comfy and cozy. I choose a corner where the table is made out of an old sewing machine. Haha. I am listening to free music performance, and I enjoyed it. The coffee has both lime/lemon and coffee in taste. Special and refreshing to me. A great day to spend over afternoon rain. It has been lovely to embrace the time and space there. Although it is just a glass of coffee but I appreciate they later brought me a kettle of water. Lovely time. Hidden gem indeed. Show less

The coffee with lime was interestingly refreshing. WiFi was a little choppy but almost 80% of customers come by with a laptop. We were so thankful that the staff allowed us to stay so long. It wasn’t that hard to find, just walk through the alley beside another cafe, take the stairs up to the 3rd floor and there you go! Show less
