The staff were friendly helpful and very knowledgeable on all things videogames. Nice little cafe with tons of board games and decked out in a manner that fitted the experience. Visited with myself and my son (10). Arriving we were greeted by attentive and friendly staff who explained the experience. We were booked in at the next available hourly slot, I was very impressed by their parental controls. I felt as though the venue had everything under control the entire time. Whilst we waited, we had some toasties and coffee. Nothing spectacular but likewise most enjoyable. We spent an hour in the gaming experience. The staff were so lovely, I noticed they adjusted their manner to suit the most novice and most hard-core of gamer. I recommend this with family, young children over 8 at minimum, you will spend around 2 hours there and expect to spend 30 or so if you want some toasties and an hour play for you and one child 9/10 will come back for sure Show less

Went here during the school holidays where they do a kids club for one hour. Reasonably priced, hundreds of games to choose from. The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Cool little cafe as well with loads of board games you can play after your one hour gaming session l.

3 years agoAbsolutely brilliant! Great fun, helpful and enthusiastic staff, the best £6 we’ve spent during our holiday in Glasgow. The games are great but it was the people working there that made it such a lovely experience for both adults and kids. Thank you for a wonderful hour.

R-Cade is a unique venue for retro console entertainment. No emulators here, just original console and games. Major case of nostalgia served here along with a food and drink and board games! See our full video review on our experience under The Olive Tree Family on all social media platforms.

I love how versatile it is—I've visited with my son, he's had a birthday outing with friends, and I've been in the evening with my own friend for some chilled gaming with a beer (you can take drinks and pay corkage). The sheer range of retro consoles and games on offer is amazing—from Atari and SNES right up through the original PlayStation and Xbox. I love that it's a simple, one-fee-for-a-session model, meaning you can play unlimited games for the duration. They also have a fab selection of board games too. Overall, it's a great venue with genuinely knowledgeable and welcoming staff and a fantastic, community-focused atmosphere. The café is fab too, serving great coffee and snacks that perfectly complete the retro vibe. It is definitely a must-visit in Glasgow especially for those video game enthusiasts out there! Show less
