Silver Cannon is definitely a hidden gem! It's on the second story of small neighborhood bar called, The Back Yard. The staff are incredibly friendly and insanely knowledgeable about all kinds of games! They sell a variety of board games and video games, with other tabletop miniatures as well! It is a little cramped in the store, but honestly it adds a nice homey feeling yo the store. I've been playing TTRPGs (Table Top Role Playing Games) there with my wife and our friends and its been a blast! The Back Door will allow you to open a tab and bring drinks upstairs and if you order food that will even get brought up for you as well! To me this is a fantastic benefit because I'm typically playing right around dinner and the ease in which both businesses work together makes me feel incredibly welcomed, and honestly a little special. Parking is technically street parking but it's free and if you park infront of the B&O Railroad museum you can see your car from the store! This place is amazing and I highly recommend anyone in the area to swing in and check out both businesses!!! Show less

Silver Cannon is definitely a hidden gem! It's on the second story of small neighborhood bar called, The Back Yard. The staff are incredibly friendly and insanely knowledgeable about all kinds of games! They sell a variety of board games and video games, with other tabletop miniatures as well! It is a little cramped in the store, but honestly it adds a nice homey feeling yo the store. I've been playing TTRPGs (Table Top Role Playing Games) there with my wife and our friends and its been a blast! The Back Door will allow you to open a tab and bring drinks upstairs and if you order food that will even get brought up for you as well! Ended up talking to the owner, who is a very cool nerdy guy, for more than two hours about collection pieces and tcg. This is an awesome hole in the wall in Baltimore for retro gaming and other collectibles. His prices were fair and there are treasures/gaming history hidden in every corner! This store sells many gaming items, from board games, both new and old, classic video games and consoles, Warhammer minis...honestly, they have a little of everything. If you like games you should just come check it out. It's not exactly like many other game stores; it's in a space above a bar, as I mentioned, and it's a little crowded. it's not a sterile commercial space with rows of identical products for sale. It's the kind of place where you can look around and probably find cool things that you'll enjoy. I play TTRPGs here often, and it is my favorite place to play because it's a great space, it's quiet, and there's a cool bar with good food and beer right downstairs. And also the dog and/or cat might show up, which is always nice. This is a cool game store and if you are into games you should come here. Show less

The only neg, the owner tossed the games to the side, I wasn't interested in at the moment. Which left me shocked, as I offered to put them back (since I did pull them from the shelf.) I've been all over North America and have seen game stores in all corners of it. This is the *coziest* one I've visited. It felt like a really comfy large gaming den that belongs in someone's home, but also there's a cash register and you can buy things. You go in the bar and walk up the staircase in the far corner to get here. At the top of the stairs, there's a calmly-lit, quiet room with 2 large tables, and a few rows of merchandise. I was met with the friendly face and soft voice of the owner. I spoke with him and his one employee for a while and traded in a few pokémon cards. One of the large tables is a big heavy ornate wooden one, at which a group of 6 were playing D&D. It's not a very big space, but that's not what they're going for. Providing a comfortable place to just play whatever you want seems to be the owner's main goal, and that makes me happy to see. One struggle for me is my ears: I have very sensitive hearing, to the point where I normally have to wear silicone earplugs to go into a game shop. This was not the case here. It was very quiet and the voices were pretty soft. The lights were also slightly dimmer. Just wanted to make sure I mentioned that this place is friendly for people with overactive senses. Had such a great experience at the shop today coming in to sell some of my Pokemon collection. Jason and Erin were super friendly. Jason took the time to make sure he didnt buy anything I was too attached to, walked me through comps and condition and was super straightforward and honest about how he purchases cards. I honestly lost track of time chatting because he’s such a nice and interesting guy to just nerd out with. Great vibes. Walked away feeling good about the deal we made. Very honest shop and staff. Also kind of cool and homey feeling in the little attic above the bar. Not sterile at all and very hobbit hole like. Haha Show less
