Today was the first time going to Snakes & Lattes. They charge a fee per person. $8/adult and $4/child under the age of 10. The kids really loved it. They had a nice selection of children's board games. The games were older and a couple didn't have operational batteries but it didn't matter, it was just fun being there. The staff is super nice, they were attentive and the kids enjoyed their lunch; macaroni and cheese. They also said the hot chocolate was the best they've ever had. This location also has vegan food and drink available. Easily spent three hours having fun. The children want to go back already. Show less

Today was the first time going to Snakes & Lattes. They charge a fee per person. $8/adult and $4/child under the age of 10. The kids really loved it. They had a nice selection of children's board games. The games were older and a couple didn't have operational batteries but it didn't matter, it was just fun being there. The staff is super nice, they were attentive and the kids enjoyed their lunch; macaroni and cheese. They also said the hot chocolate was the best they've ever had. It was my first time and what a great place to play board games, social and eat. We love the variety of games they have, and how the game masters are able to suggest new games for us to try out. Foodwise — the snakes salad was absolutely delicious. The chicken was seared well and everything was well seasoned, good amount and so good. Now I’m thinking of making it at home 🙈 The BBQ chicken quesadilla was also very good and cooked well. We also had some breadsticks, tacos and grilled chicken sandwiches. They were all pretty decent! I also love that the menu has lots of vegan / vegetarian options. The only downside was that service was a bit slow. It was my first time and what a great place to play board games, social and eat. We love the variety of games they have, and how the game masters are able to suggest new games for us to try out. Foodwise — the snakes salad was absolutely delicious. The chicken was seared well and everything was well seasoned, good amount and so good. We used to come here 2-3 years ago and it was good before. We had fun. Yesterday, my friends and I went there for some fun but it was a terrible experience. 1) I booked a table for 7 a day ago. They gave us a small with VERY TINY spaces between the table and the chairs. It was so uncomfortable. When I told them that we cannot fit there, they said that they are fully booked. Like... Hello???? I have a booking as well?? And you KNEW we were 7. 2) They OVERCHARGE. And they don't let you know beforehand. Extra service fee for groups of 6+ and FIXED TIP for them as well??? Aren't I supposed to be the one who decides whether to give tips or not? 2-3 years ago there was a 8$ fixed fee just to play games and no other ridiculous charges. Now the business takes everything they'd give to the employers. (Now it's 20$ fixed + service fee + fixed tip) 3) The server we had was so rude and definitely intoxicated. She (or they) doesn't know how to have a basic communication. 4) The people at the table behind us were too drunk that it was so disturbing at some point. We used to come here 2-3 years ago and it was good before. We had fun. Yesterday, my friends and I went there for some fun but it was a terrible experience. 1) I booked a table for 7 a day ago. The staff seemed pretty knowledgeable too, and they’re willing to explain how games work if you’re new to something. You could easily spend hours just hopping from one game to another. Atmosphere – 4/5 The space is well-lit with a cozy, inviting aesthetic. It has that perfect mix of café charm and relaxed lounge energy. Tables are spaced out just enough for comfort, and it feels like a place you could easily settle into for a few hours without feeling rushed or crammed. Food & Drinks – 3/5 The food was decent—nothing mind-blowing, but it gets the job done. Think elevated café fare: burgers, snacks, a few vegetarian options. The space was nice. There was a huge amount of games to pick from. You get a great $20 deal per person, which includes 3 hours of playing any of the games, unlimited non-alcoholic beverages aaand $10 off any alcohol drink if you wish (please correct me if I’m wrong but that’s what I remember is a part of it). I remember going to a different board game cafe before and just saying, there's a reason why I haven't been to another one for a few years. I enjoy playing board games, but a big wall of board games can feel overwhelming. I don't know where to look and how to start. And I'll be honest, I just want to start playing so reading instructions can be daunting. Also, trying to figure out if something is good for 2 people to play can be hard. However, Snakes and Lattes managed to create a fun and welcoming environment. Well, specifically, Joan. She approached us when we were looking for a board game and I cannot thank her enough. She made our evening so special! She told us to have a seat and she brought over 3 games to choose from. She gives a brief description of each game and her picks were spot on. I don't feel overwhelm and there is no frustration at all. Joan got us started quickly and we were able to play on our own. She is a great teacher and very knowledgeable. We weren't planning to play for a long time, but we ended up sticking around. It was a nice environment and everyone was very kind. We played Concept and it was fun and funny. It was interesting to understand how the mind works. Joan came around again and joined us for a turn since we were struggling. It was cool to see how she would play. I enjoy playing board games, but a big wall of board games can feel overwhelming. I don't know where to look and how to start. And I'll be honest, I just want to start playing so reading instructions can be daunting. Also, trying to figure out if something is good for 2 people to play can be hard. However, Snakes and Lattes managed to create a fun and welcoming environment. Well, specifically, Joan. She approached us when we were looking for a board game and I cannot thank her enough.
