Drinks were great, the bartenders, ticket scanners & even the bouncer were all really polite and welcoming. The MC did such a fantastic job and all the Comedians were top no... Read more
Having not been to a Comedy club before I wasn’t sure what to expect but tonight was awesome! It’s a really chill atmosphere. Drinks were great, the bartenders, ticket scanners & even the bouncer were all really polite and welcoming. The MC did such a fantastic job and all the Comedians were top notch. The only thing I would change is that the venue was quite hot and the seating was a bit tight but honestly none of that would put me off coming again. I understand that The Gaffe hasn’t been open for very long but you really couldn’t tell, thank you for a great night! Show less

Having not been to a Comedy club before I wasn’t sure what to expect but tonight was awesome! It’s a really chill atmosphere. Drinks were great, the bartenders, ticket scanners & even the bouncer were all really polite and welcoming. The MC did such a fantastic job and all the Comedians were top notch. 9 months agoMy first ever comedy club experience and it was amazing. Sat on the front row and got ripped to pieces by all the comedians that came on. All the Acts were hilarious. All the staff were fantastic. Don't um and err about going... just do it, NOW. Book those tickets!!!

Unfortunately, the comedy on the night we visited was awful. Every act relied on sexist, racist, or ableist jokes — just offensive, not funny. We left duri... Read more
The staff were friendly and the venue itself was fine, although the shared toilets had a strong smell — probably just due to age, not the staff. Unfortunately, the comedy on the night we visited was awful. Every act relied on sexist, racist, or ableist jokes — just offensive, not funny. We left during the intermission and I was tempted to ask for a refund. If there’s a way to check the lineup in advance and avoid a parade of offensive “white guy” comics, maybe it could be worth a visit. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend. Show less

The staff were friendly and the venue itself was fine, although the shared toilets had a strong smell — probably just due to age, not the staff. Unfortunately, the comedy on the night we visited was awful. Every act relied on sexist, racist, or ableist jokes — just offensive, not funny. Fantastic venue! The host was brilliant, really confident, swaggy and incredibly handsome. All the staff at the bar and on the door was friendly and down to earth. Even the bouncer was welcoming and chatty! The only things I'd suggest for the future would be getting soft drinks on tap (as they were pretty expensive for glass bottles poured into small cups) and please, please make the seats more spread apart! We couldn't fit comfortably on the seats as they were tied together, and very little leg room. One of the group has claustrophobia so really struggled with this. I'll definitely be back 😁 Show less

Great comedy venue, room hold about 150 and the stage is perfectly places in the centre. Will definitely be going back to this venue, feels so much better for comedy than an hall or music/theatre venue.

3 months agoGreat comedy venue opposite Castle Park, been here a few times now most recently for James Acaster - it’s a smallish place but well laid out, decent sound and the bar has Lost & Grounded beers! Worth checking out.

1 year agoLove the show!! Very funny and amazing vibe there and always made my day!! Staff members all very nice and lovely!! The environment also clean and you can take a seat and chatting with your friends before the show started. Strongly recommend!! Suitable places for a date /hangout!!

A real late-night comedy club! Having lived in Bristol for several years, I can tell you that it has been missing a proper comedy club. If you are looking for a fantastic night. Look no further than The Gaffe Comedy Club! Having shared the news on several group chats this morning, we will be regularly making visits. I'm not sure if this will be helpful, but the owners seem keen on feedback. Having run multiple businesses myself, I know how useful it is to hear people's thoughts. I would try to have someone taking drink orders during the break as well as the bar staff. As it's a comedy night, I am sure an element of humour can be used to drum up orders. I would probably replace the seats as well. After the interval, my pregnant wife found the seats super uncomfortable; the discomfort was worth it, her words not mine, but it was still an observation. Looking forward to visiting again soon! Show less
