Very disappointing experience. There were not many arcade games available, and several of the ones that were there were not functional. We also expected to eat on-site, as there are two restaurant options; however, one was closed for a private event and the other had already closed. There was no signage or notice advising that the restaurants were unavailable. We purchased a 4-hour unlimited gameplay card with the plan to play, then eat, and finally see a movie. Instead, we were forced to leave the mall to find food elsewhere and then return for the movie, which completely disrupted our plans. Overall, the lack of communication and unavailable amenities made this a very disappointing experience. Show less

We also expected to eat on-site, as there are two restaurant options; however, one was closed for a private event and the other had already closed. An Amazing Experience for All Ages! The Rec Room is hands down one of the best entertainment spots in Montreal! It’s the perfect place for both kids and adults to have fun at the same time. The selection of games is fantastic—tons of modern games using VR, plus classic favorites like pinball and pool. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. A special shoutout to Yehya, who gave us a tour and made sure we felt welcome right from the start. The restaurant was also a highlight! An Amazing Experience for All Ages! The Rec Room is hands down one of the best entertainment spots in Montreal! It’s the perfect place for both kids and adults to have fun at the same time. What are you going to do when your two grandsons come over and the first words out of their mouths are WE’RE BORED. The answer is to take them over to The Rec Room situated in the ROYALMOUNT Shopping Mall. As soon as you walk in, the blinking lights and sounds reminded me of a mini Las Vegas, of course without the gambling. Both of my grandchildren had a terrific time playing with the myriad of gaming machines and their boredom definitely disappeared replaced by two huge smiles. We were allowed to order 1 set of 12 wings and then by 6's.. it took them almost 2 hours to serve me 12 wings and then another 6 wings.. was impossible to take advantage of all you can eat wings.. Worst service ever and I would never go back! Instead of helping the staff, the manager just walked around delegating and doing absolutely nothing! Worst experience ever in a restaurant. We went there for their new year event, and honnestly it was amazing! We had access to a small but nice dessert open bar. Also were given a beer and at midnight a glass of bubles. We had an amazing time waiting for midnight while playing a bunch of different arcades (which were included in the ticket price) Finally, what I’ll probably remember the most, was the magician, seing incredible magic tricks right in front of you was mesmerising. Love going here! It’s a cool arcade for the kids. Just be careful with the machines, they sometimes charge you and the game doesn’t load, so you have to go to the tickets kiosk and tell them, they will reload your bracelet :)) they have some VR games too which is cool.
