6 years agoA fantastic and fun bar with a real locals feel. Good beers, lovely food and lots of international sports on the many televisions. Check out Monday night steak night and Wednesday chicken wing night only RMB2!!

6 years agoWas visiting Shanghai from the US. My friend recommended this place. It was really good. On Wednesdays they have wings for 2 RMB ($0.29 US). You need at least 15. The french fries are always hot and crispy. Also, try the garlic cheese bread! The drinks could be stronger.

2 years agoWalked in looking for the rooster, and was immediately felt welcome by owner. Such a hospitable host. Definitely worth a visit when on Shanghai, the owner knows the area well and is great to have a beer with. Thanks again for your hospitality.

8 years agoSomeone should explain how to put the gas in the draught beer. I handed a flat pint back to the bar, tried to explain the issue but got no credit for my next drink. If I come here again, I wont touch the draught beer.

1 year agolooks good but that is where it ends. the people who go to this place are pretentious and not very nice. think 'instagram meets Windows bar' and you will get the idea. Shanghai has quite a lot of these pretentious we are all stars type western bars and this is one of them.

6 years agoPossibly the best pub in Shanghai. Unpretentious, good place to play pool or watch sports, awesome food and good customer service. This place ticks off all of the boxes in my opinion. The wings and chicken parma are delicious!

1 year agoA popular sports bar with reasonably priced drinks and decent atmosphere with mixture of expats and locals. Busy during big sports events, but plenty of seating and standing space with TV screens throughout.

1 year agoGreat sports bar. Lots of TVs and staff are very happy to play what your request. Perfect spot to watch the AFL, they even played it with sound for us. Lots of food options when craving western food. Nice clean western toilets too.

2 years agoGreat sports bar. Pool table, dart boards, so manyTVs with live sport (Rugby Union/ Aussie Rules / tennis while I was there). The big game on the day (All Blacks | SA) was live and loud. Several different areas to hang out.

5 months agoFantastic Pub , Sports Bar , Amazing Food and Drinks. Excellent friendly Service, Awesome atmosphere. Plan your visit because it is very easy to want to stay here longer. The Shed Shanghai and now Vietnam.

8 months agoThey serve beer. I highly recommend the lasagna and the side pasta salad. Unfortunately not enough NHL and NFL but far too much cricket which is not very good. I would encourage poutine being on the menu as there is a dearth of quality poutine in Shanghai. Please put Olympic hockey on next month. Emmitt Sheridan is known to frequent The Shed so that's also a gooder. Show less

11 months agoReliable place to watch Australian Sport in Shanghai. You can watch AFL and Rugby League at the same time, which is good. Plenty of Western Food options as well like burgers and Chicken Parmie. Western prices for beer too. RMB50 for a Paulaner or Jing A.
