I've always been a big fan of tower games. They were a popular spot for hosting game nights, but have recently converted a lot of that space to extra merchandising shelves they still do lots of games in the back where you can use their terrain pieces. They've done a really good job of adapting to COVID and I'm always happy to shop there for DnD, 40k, and all my other board gaming/miniature painting needs. I've always been a big fan of tower games. They were a popular spot for hosting game nights, but have recently converted a lot of that space to extra merchandising shelves they still do lots of games in the back where you can use their terrain pieces. They've done a really good job of adapting to COVID and I'm always happy to shop there for DnD, 40k, and all my other board gaming/miniature painting needs. We stopped in for the first time tonight. This is one of the stores I have actually felt welcomed into! The staff was extremely welcoming and was interested in my hobbies of warhammer 40k and Magic the gathering. Most other stores I have gone to I get the feeling of why are you here and I'm bothering the staff. Not this store! I will definitely be making this store my go to they have a wonderful selection of warhammer and supplies to go with it. The magic selection is well stocked and they have all the sleeves and deck boxes you could need. If they didn't have it I'm pretty sure they will get it for you one way or another! Show less

5 months agoCharging 65$ for a prismatic surprise box is even worse than scalper prices, super disappointing to see. You can get it at target for $25. The current market value is $20 less than your sticker price. To put that in perspective they want $65 for 4 prismatic booster packs and some dividers…

7 months agoStopped in from out of town for work and the selection up here is absolutely insane. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Definitely stopping in here every time I'm up in the cities now.

I love my neighborhood game shop! I enjoy the gaming events, fantastic selection of games, and very friendly staff. There are daily events in the back room — table top open play, D&D, Magic, Star Wars X-wing, War Hammer, and more. There is a small fee for the events, snacks and NA beverages sold or bring what you prefer. As an NB, I appreciate that they have done away with the unnecessarily binary gendered bathrooms. 5 months agoIncredibly friendly staff and took the time to walk me though getting into miniature painting and assembly. Will definitely keep visiting in the future. Superb range of 40k figures. This store had the single Ravenguard figure I was looking for out of all the games stores I called in Minneapolis

4 months agoGo-to spot for Pokémon TCG booster packs. Awesome and very friendly staff. Love how queer-friendly this shop is; my partner and I immediately felt safe and welcome at Tower Games! They have a huge selection of bulk Pokémon cards to pick through.

2 months agoThis is a really great place with nice ambience that has a pretty wide variety of things for TTRPGS and stuff like that, Warhammer 40K, D&D, pretty much every major TCG, stuff like that. The prices aren't half bad either. It's one of my favorite game stores in the twin cities.
