Been there three times, Had a pleasant experience each time. Friendly and helpful service; knowledgeable staff, and a great workshop. Regarding the juvenile reviewer complaining about a game store that holds gaming events being too crowded and smelling like a boys locker room, what exactly was that reviewer hoping to encounter at a gamer store? Thats like complaing that an emergency room has sick people in it. Teenage boys go to game stores to play games, usually with other teenage boys. BTW, I never noticed any smelly issues and its been full of players two of the three times I was there, Show less

Been there three times, Had a pleasant experience each time. Friendly and helpful service; knowledgeable staff, and a great workshop. Regarding the juvenile reviewer complaining about a game store that holds gaming events being too crowded and smelling like a boys locker room, what exactly was that reviewer hoping to encounter at a gamer store? Randomly decided to read the reviews after going here intermittently for a few years and saw some complaints that hurt my brain, so here's my two cents. First off, it's a great store with a fantastic selection of singles. I saw some people frustrated with singles being kept in the back and (typically) ordered online, which blows my mind because Untapped is the ONLY LGS I've ever been to with an up to date singles inventory. I work five minutes away and have placed orders in the morning for obscure 50 cent uncommons which I've picked up on my lunch break. As far as I'm concerned, I would much rather know what a store actually has instead of searching through binders and boxes for a bulk card that was never catalogued. Second, I find it strange to see people complaining about prices and saying that online retailers are cheaper, because *you are not being forced to buy anything in store and can simply buy from somewhere else if you do not like the prices* Is it frustrating to see sealed products marked up? Sure! Have I gotten excellent deals that have saved me plenty of money on products I can't get my hands on elsewhere through Untapped? You bet! And if I'm not going to question the deals I get from them, then it seems hypocritical to question the prices I may consider a little bit steep. I'm not the one paying rent and keeping the lights on, so I'm not going to tell them what they should or shouldn't charge. They also have reasonable purchase limits to get products into the hands of the local community which I really appreciate (cannot emphasize this enough)!!! Lastly, as for the service, while I've typically been in and out without much conversation, I have a friend who went in ready to sell his entire collection after being taken advantage of by another store, and happily left with a new deck because an employee sat down with him, helped him out, and treated him fairly (when they very easily could've bought off his collection for cheap and made a quick buck). Sure, I don't have any exceptional stories like this, but they made my friend happy when it mattered and I care about that more. So... Overall, I would highly recommend you go and I am glad that they are a part of the community. Cheers to anyone who read this novel 🍻 Show less

Randomly decided to read the reviews after going here intermittently for a few years and saw some complaints that hurt my brain, so here's my two cents. First off, it's a great store with a fantastic selection of singles. I saw some people frustrated with singles being kept in the back and (typically) ordered online, which blows my mind because Untapped is the ONLY LGS I've ever been to with an up to date singles inventory. I used to enjoy the drive to untapped, knowing that I wasn’t going to get scalped or treated like cattle. But unfortunately, that’s the direction this brick and mortar store is going. I used to enjoy the drive to untapped, knowing that I wasn’t going to get scalped or treated like cattle. But unfortunately, that’s the direction this brick and mortar store is going. They surge price their product, very frequently altering prices mid day especially on Pokémon product. I feel like they’re letting the secondary market ruin their reputation.. within the last month I have noticed prices shift mid day, watched brand new product drop in price 15$ or more just based off demand, and most recently, was treated with disrespect while buying an over 100$ item. I was looking at blooming waters boxes (which are double msrp keep in mind) and the associate gave me flack about asking to see a second box, assuring me “they’re both exactly the same”, is if it was his money that I was spending. Very sad. This place used to be the corner stone of the pawtucket area. Unfortunately the market is shifting to whatnot, and smaller operations. Show less

I used to enjoy the drive to untapped, knowing that I wasn’t going to get scalped or treated like cattle. But unfortunately, that’s the direction this brick and mortar store is going. They surge price their product, very frequently altering prices mid day especially on Pokémon product. I really wanted to like this game store. It's nearby and has a decent game selection. However, every time I've visited it smelled like a teenage boys locker room, but without the bonus of any body sprays. Seriously. It's bad. Also, the layout of the store is clearly catered to table play. It is an ... Read more

I really wanted to like this game store. It's nearby and has a decent game selection. However, every time I've visited it smelled like a teenage boys locker room, but without the bonus of any body sprays. Seriously. It's bad. Also, the layout of the store is clearly catered to table play. It is an event space first and board game store second. You have to move in and around tables and people playing games just to browse the selection. It makes me not want to go there to buy games. The store is mostly focused on card games and running those events. I wish there were more board game focused events :(. Experience with staff was okay but not exceptional, the layout and card game focus do not help. Really needs a bigger space and less tables under normal operation. I understand their card gaming events are likely the money makers, so at least add some air flow and air fresheners, and maybe deodorant at the door. Show less

I really wanted to like this game store. It's nearby and has a decent game selection. However, every time I've visited it smelled like a teenage boys locker room, but without the bonus of any body sprays. Seriously. It's bad. Also, the layout of the store is clearly catered to table play. It is an event space first and board game store second. There’s not many local card places in the area so I’m glad this one’s so close by and they had such a wide variety of Pokemon card sets, boxes, and even pins. The staff there were all incredibly helpful even with an event going on I was helped quickly. Definitely recommend and will come back again. ... Read more

I used to like this store a lot before I had been to other TCG card shops. One thing they do differently is they put their product online to try and make it easier for you to shop their product. This would be fantastic, except the website is EXCEPTIONALLY slow and half the searches don't yield what I'm looking for or show a ton of results that don't match my search in the slightest. All of their singles are locked behind the website as they don't have counter space to display rares and staples. I've played TCG events at the shop a couple of times, and they are run very well. But the store does have smell problem (this is not entirely their fault, as they even offer deodorant in the bathroom for free). The table space pretty much takes the entire floor, so if your looking to browse their selection of board games be prepared to navigate around player space. All in all I would say try the shop for yourself and see if it's right for you, try some of the other local shops as well as you might find a better fit. Hope this helps Show less

This would be fantastic, except the website is EXCEPTIONALLY slow and half the searches don't yield what I'm looking for or show a ton of results that don't match my search in the slightest. I have Great community for every relevant game. They have a large inventory with current as well as past sets. I also like that i can go to tbeir site and see any of my 150 orders of just buying/selling singles, going all they way back to ‘04. Anyway, I highly recommend shopping at Untapped. First off, Steve, a manager at Untapped Games, is the absolute man. I have been a customer for over 10 years and have nothing but good things to say about the shop. I have Great community for every relevant game. They have a large inventory with current as well as past sets. I also like that i can go to tbeir site and see any of my 150 orders of just buying/selling singles, going all they way back to ‘04. Anyway, I highly recommend shopping at Untapped.
