This is a FUN comic book store that has a culture all of its own once inside, but there's a gorgeous mural painted on the outside by a local Black artist that's breathtaking and lively. Inside, the staff is friendly and engaging, and the inventory is VAST, and stretches from beyond comics and offers board games, trinkets, Japanese snacks. I'm unsure if they offer local comic creator residencies, but I wouldn't be surprised if they offer community support of such. There are vaults under the displays of back issues to where you can spend hours perusing your favorite publishing houses. All in all, a wonderful comic shop! Show less

This is a FUN comic book store that has a culture all of its own once inside, but there's a gorgeous mural painted on the outside by a local Black artist that's breathtaking and lively. Inside, the staff is friendly and engaging, and the inventory is VAST, and stretches from beyond comics and offers board games, trinkets, Japanese snacks. Staff were very friendly and the store was clean. Great selection of new trade paper backs and new single issues from DC, Marvel, Image and more. If you or your children are getting into comics, I recommend visiting. I asked the store clerk a question about local/small print artists and they pointed me in the right direction and even suggested a book after they asked about the genre's I read most often. There's also a decent collection of bargain books - which is great for any who's getting started in collecting single issues. Show less

Really solid comic book store. Was the first place I went too when I decided to give comics a try. They have a great selection of new and old comics, a very nice storefront, cool knick knacks etc. The real highlight of this place is the stowaway service, where the automatically set new issues of comics that you are reading aside for you and hold them. The downside is the staff isn't always the most helpful, and sometimes can even get a little sassy. Turned me off a tad. I still shop here, but it's no longer my first option and I just hope someone helpful is at the counter that day when I come to collect my held items. Show less

They have a great selection of new and old comics, a very nice storefront, cool knick knacks etc. The real highlight of this place is the stowaway service, where the automatically set new issues of comics that you are reading aside for you and hold them. This is one of the coolest comic books stores around. I went there on May 4th. The number of people dressed up for "may the fourth be with you" day was so cool. They even had a "festival" of sorts by their entrance. I liked their setup. I ended up buying a comic outside of the free ones. The one th... Read more

This is one of the coolest comic books stores around. I went there on May 4th. The number of people dressed up for "may the fourth be with you" day was so cool. They even had a "festival" of sorts by their entrance. I liked their setup. I ended up buying a comic outside of the free ones. The one thing I didn't like at the register was being rushed. She rang me up, but I was looking for change, and she took the guy behind me to cash him out. That I thought was not cool. She shouldn't have waited on someone else until one transaction was completed. It made it seem like I was holding up the line even though he was the only one behind me. Other registers were open. I still like the place but that one thing should change. Show less
