Update: Owners honored the price tag and were very understanding. I really appreciate that and will be returning to the shop in the future to support them. I recently visited this card shop, and while the atmosphere was inviting and the staff was friendly, my experience was quite a bummer. I found an MTG Commander deck that was marked at a great price, but when I went to pay, the cashier checked TCGPlayer and adjusted the price to be 30% higher than the sticker price, and wouldn't honor the original tag. I understand that prices can vary, but it felt misleading to have the price changed at the register. I really wanted to support this local shop, but this kind of pricing practice was disappointing. I hope they can improve their approach to pricing, as it really detracted from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Show less

Update: Owners honored the price tag and were very understanding. I really appreciate that and will be returning to the shop in the future to support them. I recently visited this card shop, and while the atmosphere was inviting and the staff was friendly, my experience was quite a bummer. Easily one of the friendliest and nicest game shops I’ve been to in Jersey. Very nice location and if you’re near the area highly recommend. Markups at a store like this are commonplace, but sometimes the markup can be significantly over retail, even when a product is easy to find. Charging $40 over retail was not in my budget for the evening. EDIT: upon reading more reviews, I’m amending my review and adding specifics. I was there to by a Commander Bundle which is retail $110 and TCG.com had at $120. I was told the price at the register was $150. I brought up the TCG site and additional multiple sites where the item was available at retail. The owner refused to lower the price to match TCG, so I bought it for retail and pickup at another store. In a previous review, the owner lowered the price of a commander deck to the TCG price for a customer, but not for me? Second edit: If I was showing the current price to the employee, who then got on the phone with you, why was I not given the proper price at that time? The timetable of your defense makes no sense. Despite being shown multiple real time examples of your price being $30 over the current highest asking price, you still refused to properly adjust the price for me. Buyer beware. Show less

If you’re into card games, they probably have an event for it ,from Friday Night Magic (FNM) to prerelease events and plenty of others throughout the week. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and do a great job keeping things organized and enjoyable for everyone.
