The store is a temple for video games, while on a quick trip I found this hidden gem. Great service and great stock. The store is a temple for video games, while on a quick trip I found this hidden gem. Great service and great stock. The staff is very friendly and knows what you're talking about even at the most obscure of requests. The arcade was small but not crowded and they where 50 cents a play which was a great throwback to the arcade days. Great selection of new and classic games. Where they really shine is on accessories for classic systems, like NES, SNES, and Genesis. Maurice, Mark, and Casey were very helpful. They have a wide selection of original used and brand new controllers. The inventory changes often but they usually have the big name games for older systems. Their prices seem inline with the current retro market. Additionally they have a lot of really cool toys and posters. The arcade has some older classics, as well as MvC2 and rail shooters. This is the only location currently, the other location has shut down. Recently their stock of first party retro controllers has been better than in recent memory. VGR's prices on common games has also been better across various consoles, although they sort to have less stock of more collectable games. Their hours have changed some and they close at 7 PM on Saturdays now. Show less

It doesn’t matter that you’re offering the price that I asked it matters that I’m not bringing my product to you because that works better for you or because you told me so that’s not how marketplace works. Dawg I’m not gonna spend that store credit because I’m not coming back to your store. Enjoy my five dollars. Update: they did NOT offer me store credit for my convenience or so I could avoid a drive. I said something about it before I left the store and the person who rang me up shrugged and told me they had given me credit. They gave me credit instead of a refund to spare themselves an inconvenience if anything. 👎 Show less

I stopped by a few days ago to sell some of my collection. I haven’t played the games in a long time (too busy with TCG 😅) This store is amazing, they have a massive selection of retro games and consoles. The staff was amazing, they sorted through my collection and gave me a very fair offer, an all around pleasant experience and I do plan on returning. I’ve got some store credit I need to use up, maybe I’ll pickup a gameboy color for the kiddo lol and bring him to the newly remodeled arcade! Show less

I mean, I love retro games, but I'm not gonna lie...for some reason I thought this place was associated with some YouTuber or social media type. No idea how I came to that conclusion. Still glad I came in. Very thematic. I've seen a lot of retro game stores go this route, and it just makes them very inviting and not so off putting. Side note I didnt get to look at everything for as long as I wanted to, still got a pretty good look at it all, but man...2 tall lanky guys walked in and one of them had a bad case of BO, and I had no choice but to flee to the opposite side of the store whenever we crossed paths. I hope they weren't friends, cause ain't no way I'd let my homie walk out the door smelling like that. But I digress. Like I said, I didn't get as long a look as I'd have liked. Realistically thlugh, there wasn't that much more to really look through for me personally. Really cool display pieces set up around the shop to tie in that nostalgia we're all desperate to snort, but once you get past it all...it's a pretty okay place. A solid variety of Nintendo, Sega, VHS, and other odds and ends to browse through. I should also mention the arcade next door. I'm pretty sure they're in bed with each other. And i'm soley basing this off the door inside that connects the two. If I had a penny for every time I ran into a retro game store with an arcade attached at the side, I'd have 2 pennies and not enough time to enjoy them. Oh well. Maybe next time. Show less
