Called to find out if they had a game in stock but no one answered the phone. Website said they had it, so took a chance and drove 40 minutes from south Seattle to get it. Turns out, they did NOT have it in their store but only in the warehouse, and I'd have to wait 3 days for the warehouse staff to get it to the store. Mentioned to the (very nice) saleswoman that I didn't live anywhere near the store and didn't want to drive that distance again. Was told I could order online and have it shipped... which is true, but at that point they are competing with every other online store in the country. Found a store halfway across the country with free shipping on purchases over $80, so went with those folks instead. Can't think of a single reason to support my "local" retail store if they don't have in stock the items they claim and I'm forced to have it shipped. Save the hassle and look for a better deal online; there's always a better deal. Show less

Good food, good service, but the reason you go is to play or buy games! The map in the picture shows a separate place they have open for reserving rooms, will update with pics of that when we go. I go with a dad's group to play DnD every week and always get the Roc Burger (which is awesome) with a Ranger salad (sub chopped tomatoes and ranch). Rooms downstairs and in the separate building are reserveable. There are 4 non-gender-specific bathrooms which is great too. All in all a great place to go, play, browse, and eat. Show less

While we unfortunately don't live in state and get to enjoy the stores in person, we have been purchasing from Zulus online for over 4 years now and we have always had a positive experience with them. This last order I had placed was no different on their end, had an issue with a pricey package being marked as delivered and misdelivered multiple times by UPS over the course of 2 weeks, back and forth getting nowhere and Zulus customer support was so helpful all along the way. Amazing communication, we had purchased the shipping insurance and they helped to get us a replacement order via Fedex, appreciate them so much through all of that. Keep kicking butt Zulus! I purchased a small game and the person at the register mentioned that he'd played it and that it was fun, and I appreciated that he knew and enjoyed the store's stock of games himself. I love this place! The inside is decorated very well and nerdy. They have big sturdy tables and many different places to play including a separate event space. There are many different events for different card games and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Spaces are not too loud considering the number of people that go there. This place has the best food of any gaming cafe I've been to. Parking is also easy and plentiful. I play MTG here about once a week and highly recommend this place if you like games. I love this place! The inside is decorated very well and nerdy. They have big sturdy tables and many different places to play including a separate event space. There are many different events for different card games and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Spaces are not too loud considering the number of people that go there. This place has the best food of any gaming cafe I've been to. Parking is also easy and plentiful. I play MTG here about once a week and highly recommend this place if you like games. It is exceptionally hard to find a place to play board games as someone who lives in a small rental and most of my friends dont have the space. I come here often, weekdays, weekends, different times of day, and very frequently we cant get a spot. We have to spawncamp a table inside, or every now and them we get real lucky. This is just for a group of TWO people, if you have a bigger group, tough luck. I love board games, I just wish more places allowed them, for those who dont live in a house. Show less

After years of going to Mox while visiting Bellevue, my friends finally decided to drive us up to Zulu's since it's open a little later (Mox closes at 10PM, Zulu's closes at 11PM on some weekdays). What an awesome set-up! From the start, it really feels like you're walking into a medieval tavern. You enter a board game shop set-up with a welcoming bar and the smell of fried food. Tables are open seating and you can order on a QR code for speedy delivery. They have an "open play" board game selection at the back with some classics rated by complexity. We brought our own board game, found a spot within 10 minutes while it was packed, and got drinks pretty quickly. They were even nice enough to give us a complimentary drink for tapping out one of their kegs. The beer selection has reasonable variety and is very reasonably priced at $8-9/drink. I didn't get any food here, but my friends seemed to enjoy the burger and fries they ordered. Lot of fun and definitely a great offering for the community. Would love to come back if I'm in the area. The only downside is having to look for street parking. Show less

After years of going to Mox while visiting Bellevue, my friends finally decided to drive us up to Zulu's since it's open a little later (Mox closes at 10PM, Zulu's closes at 11PM on some weekdays). What an awesome set-up! From the start, it really feels like you're walking into a medieval tavern. You enter a board game shop set-up with a welcoming bar and the smell of fried food.
