When it was my turn on a split bill, the server asked if the card on file was okay and then ran the charge with a 20% tip added without ever showing me the screen. That’s not “suggested tip,” that’s a tip being applied without consent. If this is an auto-gratuity policy, it needs to be explicitly disclosed and still shown before charging. This experience made me uncomfortable and I won’t be back unless this changes. Show less

Pretty disappointed that Mox isn’t selling Pokemon for retail like they used to. Not sure if it’s the distributors marking up prices or Mox. But kinda sucks since I feel a board game store quoting “Bringing people together through unforgettable dining and tabletop experiences.” But charging market for packs really just pushes people away ☹️ Not to mention the passive aggressive tone “you don’t have to buy it if you don’t want to” really promotes the “Our friendly team is always ready to help” motto. Not sure if it was just the old white guy because I remember other staff being super friendly in the past. I hope they can bring back the fun atmosphere they once had. :( Show less

I purchased a couple of small games and a cute TTRPG booklet in the store, then went next door and enjoyed dessert with a friend. Food prices for dessert were high, but the art deco decor was impeccable and reading my new TTRPG book while people played games at a nearby table was a fun vibe. My friend came back from the restroom and said he saw some people go through a secret passage in a bookcase, and he was delighted by it. Hands down the swankiest game store I've ever seen! Show less

The place gets pretty busy on Fridays and weekends, especially in the evenings. So plan accordingly. They also have enough seating and vegetarian options to choose from in the food. We tried the sweet potato fries and the green goddess hummus. Both were delicious. But the sweet potato fries absolutely stood out. We're a regular here, so will definitely be back for more! Dear Mox Bellevue Team, I wanted to share some feedback following our recent visit for my daughter’s birthday celebration. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere — everything was great in that regard. However, I feel it’s important to mention a disappointing interaction with one of the servers so it can be addressed appropriately. One of your staff members, a man with a beard and long dark hair, was noticeably rude to the kids at the table. The group was made up of teenagers, the oldest being 18. During service, he tossed the food onto the table and spoke to them in an aggressive tone, telling them they hadn’t said “please” or “thank you,” even though the kids insist they had. When they tried to apologize, saying they were sorry, he interrupted them and said, “I don’t think you are,” before walking away. As a parent, I was quite uncomfortable with the way my daughter and her friends were spoken to. It’s understandable that staff expect courtesy, but this situation could have been handled with much more professionalism and kindness — especially given that it was a group of young guests celebrating a special occasion. It honestly pains me to leave a one-star review, as the food and ambiance were very good, but the interaction described above unfortunately tarnished the entire experience. I’m sharing this not to complain, but to make sure it’s brought to your attention. We truly like your restaurant and hope to continue visiting, but I’d appreciate knowing that interactions like this aren’t reflective of your usual standard of service. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope it helps ensure future experiences are positive for everyone. Show less

Unique and fun place for a date night or hanging out with friends! We sat in the restaurant area and fortunately were able to borrow a GenX appropriate game (SkipBo). The food was better than I expected based on other reviews and the service was excellent. My only complaints are that the food prices are very high and there’s not a lot of options. Also the acoustics of the restaurant area are terrible and made the noise level of the room seem higher than it should be. Parking is a challenge but we went on a Saturday night and were able to find a spot close by since neighboring businesses were closed. All things considered it was a fun place to go on a rainy fall night and I’d definitely go again. Show less
